Liam meets Nicole
LONDON - In London town, the Christmas cheer brought love back among the hearts of Gallagher and Appleton, after the singer was spotted collecting the pair’s son Gene Gallagher to spend the day with the Oasis frontman on boxing day.
Whatever may be the reason for their “unlikely” reunion, the pair seemed to be happy, and hopefully, mostly for themselves as a family.
A photo was shared by a few sources online — which shows Nicole in a chipper ‘hug and kiss’ mood for the singer.
Nicole has the rest of the year to look forward to her reunion plans with her former pop-band, All Saints.
Although it was believed All Saints were to never reform again after their 2006 release ‘Rock Steady’, Melenie — of all 4 Saint members — had said at the time: “All Saints are never getting back together again. I never want to sing again.”
All Saints will be supporting American boyband Backstreet Boys on the UK and Irish legs of their European tour in 2014.

There are only 3 solos on Noel Gallagher's album (well, Noel said 2), it was very disappointing also musically... even Noel's fans complained about this. Noel admitted he's not a great guitarist and Gem is better than him... of course to sound humble and honest, that is the opposite of what he is.

MILANO - Allora a sorpresa il nuovo stadio non lo farà l'Inter ma il Milan. La seconda squadra di Milano, seconda da sempre e per sempre, ha però pronto un progetto secondario (foto).
Ecco il motivo per cui storicamente vincono poco, non ne sono capaci. Gl'interisti hanno pure la loro solita faccia di merda di fare i piangina per il rigore su Palacio... (è l'episodio eclatante a effetto per camuffare quello che c'è dietro...). Guarin doveva prendere 3 cartellini in 42 minuti... manco uno (tra cui un rosso diretto per gomitata). Ne ha preso uno giallo più tardi con 7-8 interventi da dietro. Nagatomo ha pure portato via la palla col braccio davanti alla porta.
Risultato: 3 giornate a Muntari per "un pugno" (?). Ovviamente il derby completamente rubato dell'anno scorso l'hanno dimenticato...
Mazzarri ha detto che l'Inter ha giocato bene... chissà quali partite sta vedendo, l'Inter ha solo giocato gli ultimi 5 minuti, dopo una serie di partite orrende. Aveva pure avuto la faccia tosta di lamentarsi degli arbitri la partita precedente, ovvio che poi non ti danno neanche un rigore evidente.
Sono stati graziati per la squalifica sospesa e hanno fatto i buu razzisti a De Jong e Muntari ...solo gli interisti.
Adesso altri tifosi prima di altri derby faranno casino apposta sapendo che in caso di partita importante, dovrebbe succedere lo stesso, per non avere casini fuori dagli stadi.

Saying "because they had good songs" is naive, only fankids could say so. In fact, many people who are no Oasis fans, think the songs were not good. Many bands have good songs but can't become famous, and sure not as huge as Oasis were, not even if they had better songs than Oasis' (this says a lot about the real reasons), and because Oasis were something else.
I have the right to say two or three things because I was there in those years and know perfectly how it worked.
The first years, the mere attraction of girls for the singer is fundamental, and it's the same for everybody, not only Backstreet Boys and similar boybands. If they like the frontman, half of the audience is yours, but the other half too, 'cause then, many boys want to be like the idol adored by girls.
Sure nobody wanted to be Noel, as he was ugly as fuck. Noel used Liam.
It's something the new fankids can't understand, 'cause they didn't live those times. They're no Oasis fans. They just judge things by what they heard from other people. Now girls say Noel is not ugly, but at those times he was.

Beady Eye first time in Australia and New Zealand. Big Day Out organisers have made good on their promise and an intriguing Britpop subplot has emerged, replacing British headliner Blur with three new acts including Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye. Many fans joked that the festival bosses should try to get Oasis to reform after Blur suddenly quit the festival (did they learn from their fake friend Noel Gallagher... tirapacchi!)

LONDON - while stupid Noel Gallagher (the media darling blah blah blah) quoted the Philippines when repeating "no Oasis reunion" for the 10000th time, "not even for starving children", etc. (see some posts ago), and he also didn't do anything for Japan, a host of bands including Beady Eye, Muse and Foals have donated special items to the Help 13 auction to raise money to help the survivors of the typhoon in the Philippines.
Among the list of items up for sale over the coming weeks include signed items by Suede and Pulled Apart By Horses as well as an exclusive collection of original artwork, collectible prints, signed singles and merchandise. The first auction begins today (November 29) and all money raised will go to the Oxfam Philippines Appeal.
Help Auction 13 was set up by Rebecca Vincent, a tattoo artist, who originally wanted to collect pieces from fellow artists and auction them off. Her husband, Pulled Apart By Horses drummer Lee Vincent suggested asking friends in bands to help too, which is when she enlisted the help of film-maker Charlotte Knight, who has worked with numerous bands.
"After the horrific effects of the recent typhoon in the Philippines, we called on friends and colleagues in the world of art and music to donate items and the response has been astounding," Rebecca Vincent said. "More people are getting in touch every day and the list of donations is growing and growing."
Pulled Apart By Horses' singer James Brown said: "Help Auction are helping people in this world that need help fast and now. So, to support something like this is beyond important to us and should also be for you."

Liam revealed that 2014 would see Beady Eye continue to tour their second album, BE (21 February in Luxembourg, 25 Amsterdam, 27 Paris).
"We've got a Christmas break as from Wednesday. We're kept in the dark about what's going on next year. Which is nice, I guess. We just want to do gigs, you know what I mean? We want to get out there playing. Play this album to people, cos we think it's cool."
Speaking to the XFM Evening Show, Gallagher discussed his opinions on streaming music over purchasing the physical product, saying that he has always preferred listening to his favourite albums on vinyl, during a discussion prior to Beady Eye's XFM Presents with Ford SYNC session, with Danielle Perry.
Revealing that he has record players "coming out of my ears", Liam went on to add: "Listening to it on vinyl is always for me. I don't even know what Spotify is. The first vinyl I ever bought, it really changed my life, got me into music was the Stone Roses album. I remember I bought it in Mr Sifters in Burnage. And then I bought a Greggs pasty right after it. And a big bag of weed. I know exactly what I did that day."

HAY-ON-WYE - Former Creation records boss Alan McGee, the man who signed Oasis and was responsible for one of the greatest music labels in rock ‘n’ roll history, is telling the story of his incredible life with the publication of his autobiography, Creation Stories: Riots, Raves and Running a Label (with Noel and not Liam on the cover... Oasis was LIAM's band, formed, named and fronted by him. Not going to buy this book).
It’s a riveting, rollercoaster of a read documenting incredible highs as Oasis became the biggest band in the world and crushing lows as the Glaswegian’s life fell apart due to drink and drugs.
However, it was Wales that would became his great redeemer and McGee’s sanctuary from the excesses of the music industry.
Buying a house in Hay-on-Wye in 1997, initially as a holiday retreat, the music mogul moved to the Welsh countryside for good five years ago, desperate to escape London with his wife Kate and their daughter Charlie.
“I think I was going past McCartneys the estate agents in Hay-on-Wye and I saw this gaff,” says McGee, recounting the story of how the border town first cast its spell.
“Now I don’t know if it was a rock ‘n’ roll message being sent because of the name of the estate agent but I’d prefer to say it was all down to Led Zeppelin if I’m honest.
“ I remember when I was 15 and Led Zepplein were walking over the hills in Wales and had these big houses. I thought to myself if I ever make it I want one of them.
“No matter what happens, I’ll never move from here. There’s a ley line under us, Strata Florida, which runs straight through the house, all the way from Glastonbury to Aberystwyth Castle, with us in the middle.”
Describing life in Powys as a spiritual rehab, McGee says he spent five years reading, watching films and bringing up his daughter, happily isolated from the rat race.
The rest was recuperative in every sense because after five years he was ready to re-immerse himself in the music industry, but on his own terms.”
The 53-year-old, who also launched the careers of Primal Scream, Jesus & Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and Super Furry Animals amongst others, announced his long-awaited return to the music industry this year with 359 Records – a joint collaboration with long-standing independent label Cherry Red, run from his Powys base.
“The best thing I ever did was going away for five years. Where I live is completely spiritual. I can sit in my room, look at the Black Mountains, and I can just decide should I or should I not go and do this or go and do that?
"I find in London that everything is like a bumrush every single time. It’s just too much."
“We split to Wales because London is such a me-me-me culture,” he adds. “It got so boring.
"You come down here and people are actually nice. You don’t usually meet people in London who are actually nice.
"Everyone has got an agenda. Me and the missus were in London for too long. Plus my daughter was around six or seven and I thought ‘I really don’t want her to become Londonised’.
“I think I’m averse to London,” he adds. “It eats your soul. It’s not people’s fault, it’s just there’s no spirituality in London.
"There may be creativity, but there’s no spirituality. People are on the breadline, and they’re just used up as a resource.
"People just end up using each other, you know, eating each other, it’s a kind of cannibalism. It freaks me out. All I ever want to do in London is get in and get out of it.
“With the technology now, it means you can run everything from home. I’ve got the book out, I’ve got a record company, a publishing company and two films all coming out, and I’m running it from my bedroom in Wales.
“The bottom line is, if I can do it on a Blackberry and a computer, anyone can do it – because I’m not that bright. You’ve got to have the confidence, but once you go after it and do it, then you realise you can do it.”
The reborn music mogul has never been busier. In addition to his autobiography and 359 Music, his first film as producer, Kubricks, has secured a distribution deal and he will be making an appearance in the forthcoming music industry comedy Svengali, which stars Welsh actor Johnny Owen and Sherlock star Martin Freeman.
McGee, who DJs regularly around the world, will be returning to one of his favourite Welsh haunts – the Mountain Ash Inn pub in Mountain Ash – next Saturday for another 359 Music night, after launching the label in Wales back in September.
Being introduced to landlord Tony Rivers through mutual acquaintances, the former Creation Records man admits it’s a place he loves.
“I just came and DJed one Sunday night and there were about 200 of them singing Oasis songs,” he laughs. “I had a blast so I kept coming back.
“When we started the label I said we would come back here and do a 359 Music night, because I like it here. I don’t think this part of the world gets the publicity it deserves. I think too many people see it as a backwater and a forgotten part of Britain.
“When we said we’re going to do the launch in Mountain Ash, people were saying to me ‘well where is it?’
But I love it, it’s this little rock ‘n’ roll haven in the middle of the valleys with posters of The Smiths and Sex Pistols on the wall it’s unlike any pub you will ever see.”
Bill Clinton bunks up
These days I don't travel nearly as much. I'm a family man, and I like the quiet of Wales. People comes to see us.
Bill Clinton came to stay once. I was going to do a gig in New York in May 2001, and on AOL messenger Peter Florence, the director of Hay Festival, said, 'Hi Alan, what are you doing next weekend?'
When I said I was in Amaerica, the next question was, 'Can Bill Clinton stay in your house?' I told (my wife) Kate, and she was very excited. 'What! Of course he can.'
I didn't particularly want Bill Clinton to saty at my house. American presidents, I know what their game is. Clinton's no different to the others, he's just really eloquent. But if Kate wanted it, that's okay: Clinton could stay.
The irony of all ironies was that Kate, who thought she was going to get to hang out with Clinton, wasn't even allowed to stay in her own house! She got kicked out and had to stay with Peter Florence's mum!
That was the end of being a hotel for the literature festival.

She's been to stay at my house in Wales. She's a keen horse rider.
You can ride out of my place for miles into the countryside. She lost a £40,000 bracelet when she fell off her horse up there and asked me to send out a search party. There's no way we would have found it. For all I know, there's still a £40,000 bracelet up the hill.

I've many of my heroes through becoming well known in music. I used to see Robert Plant wandering around. In 2005 he phoned me up and asked me to DJ his son's wedding.
Well, you don't get more flattering offers than that, and I showed up at the wedding in Robert's place down the road. Jimmy Page had just got sober and was wandering around. Jimmy Page is a god to me.
I remember putting Lola by The Kinks on as the first song and seeing Jimmy and Robert head to the dance floor and start dancing together, that was the absolute highlight of my DJing career!

The future's bright, the future's orange for Liam Gallagher - who stepped out in Manchester in these bright tangerine trousers (Led Zeppelin song :).
Liam had whisked his new girlfriend, Debbie Gwyther, to Manchester's celeb haunt Italian restaurant San Carlo on Sunday night, after his homecoming gig the previous night with his band Beady Eye at Manchester Academy.
And Liam was clearly king of romance at the King Street West eaterie, splashing out on lobster and cocktails for his dinner date.
My mole tells me: "Liam looked really relaxed and happily posed for photos inside the restaurant with fans.
"He looked like he was enjoying his lobster.
"As he was leaving he was such a gentleman though, he held open the door for a group of girls who were leaving at the same time."
The Burnage boy was clad in those bright trousers as well as a trademark furlined parka jacket as he left the venue with Debbie, who chose a demure black outfit topped off with an on-trend burgundy fedora.

Beady Eye in Manchester +review
MANCHESTER - Bonehead said "It was a special moment for me, probably my best feeling on a stage ever".
There's a poster on the Manchester Academy’s Hall of Fame which marks Oasis’ appearance at the venue on their way to world domination.
In those heady days of 1994, Liam Gallagher probably never thought he’d end up back here climbing the ladder with his new outfit, Beady Eye.
But although Oasis may be over, and the venues may be smaller, the cult of Liam lives on.
The excitement of having the Burnage boy back in town, and on his own patch, is palpable, and he delivers a masterclass in how to work a crowd.
As he strides out on stage with his stereotypical swagger, hundreds of adoring fans crush to the front. The fact he just stands and stares only works them into more of a frenzy.
But what will have pleased him most was the joyous reaction to the opening song of the night, Flick of the Finger, from their latest album BE.
The psychedelic Soul Love and Second Bite of the Apple are similarly well-received, before the punchy Iz Rite and Shine a Light allow him to show off his trademark snarl.
This may be the Liam show, but the musicianship on display from the rest of the band, particularly guitarists Andy Bell and Gem Archer, is impressive and gives Liam a platform to shine.
The night takes a nostalgic turn when former Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs appears on stage for an acoustic version of Live Forever.
‘Help us out if you know the words’ Liam says, and the crowd duly obliges.
A full-throttle Cigarettes & Alcohol sparks beer-throwing bedlam before more mellow sing-alongs to The Roller and Bring the Light.
A surprise cover of The Rolling Stones’ Gimme Shelter wraps up a triumphant homecoming for Liam, before the sweaty masses pour out into the night.

Talking to Nme ahead of the band's show at Dublin Olympia last night (November 7), the first of their autumn Ireland and UK tour, a now-fully recovered Archer recounted how he slipped at home in August and fractured his skull, leading to a week in hospital. He said: "The odd thing is I can't remember falling, or much after it. It was pretty serious, shall we say, and there are a lot of people affected by it, but it seems we're through it. My wife, certainly, and the kids… It was something I wouldn't wish on anybody. I almost feel I missed it all, but they didn't – they went through it and it was horrible."
He continued: "The second fall, two weeks after the first, I've since found out, isn't that uncommon for people who've fractured their skull. Once you've had that, there is the chance of falling again and breaking an arm and/or a leg. At least I didn't do both. It's one of those things. You could think yourself into a corner with these things, worrying, but I'm not one of those guys. I've never broken a bone in my body before this summer, and now I know what it feels like. I'd hate to repeat it. And when I speak to my mam and she's worried, I just have to say 'It could happen again but I'm still here'."
Thankfully now Archer is recovered and says he's "match fit" ahead of the tour starting. He said: "I am fine. In some ways more than fine. There are slight things I see differently, which is always a bonus in life. The weird thing is when I have my guitar strapped on I feel better than ever and walk around without even thinking about what I'm doing. When I don't have it on…there are certain parts of the day when I should have my guitar on to help me. But I am definitely match fit for these gigs."
"Whether I'm completely recovered, that's a different thing. For me, completely recovered would mean being able to run down the street faster than my son and I can't yet, but maybe those days are over anyway?"
He also promised Beady Eye's setlist would be different from the band's shows earlier this year, saying: "We've rehearsed enough stuff to change it up. We'll see, I don't know what tonight's setlist is, we'll see how the soundcheck goes, but we do have a few permutations. Even just for the band's sake it's good to change things and put new songs in, and then there are a lot of people who have already seen us this year."
Finally, he talked of Jon Brookes tribute concert organised by The Charlatans which took place at the Royal Albert Hall in October. On the night former Oasis guitartist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs stepped in to replace Archer, who watched from the side of the stage.
He said: "It wasn't frustrating, it was weird for everyone else but me, I think. I loved it, and there's no way I could've done it anyway. To see them step up, and Bonehead get up like that, was a bit of a moment."
Liam Gallagher's band are going to play the Ford SYNC studios in Leicester Square, London in front of just 30 winners. The session takes place on November 25.
Danielle Perry announced the news on The XFM Evening Show last night, with help from guitarist Gem Archer.

LONDON - Indie music legend Alan McGee hopes to repeat that mid-Nineties success with a new label and a slew of promising artists. Thanks to technology, he can run his record label from his country home in Wales.
“We were coming out of acid house and people wanted personality again and people wanted rock and roll again," says the 53-year-old Glaswegian, who is returned to the music industry 10 years after turning his back on it.
"Oasis were the first bad boy rock and roll band that had personality so that’s why they made it. I signed them to the label, I was never their manager but they had the right manager and it worked."
Creation Records was one of the key labels of the mid-Eighties indie movement. Founded in 1984, early releases featured artists including Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream, The Jasmine Minks and The Loft.
But it was Oasis that really catapulted the label into the limelight as the nation went crazy for Noel and Liam Gallagher's bad boy attitude and rock and roll antics.
"They sold seven million Definitely Maybes and they went on to sell 21 million Morning Glorys so we went from being in the fourth division to being in the first division," he says.
"But having said that we had some good bands and put out some great records, we just never had the commercial success.
"When you have a label and you get just one band like Oasis, that’s a moment of fucking genius. I don’t mean I’m a genius - no one is a genius in the music business, you just put out records - but what I’m trying to say is that’s a moment of genius because you can’t expect that. If that happens then rock and roll!"
In McGee's upcoming book Creation Stories: Riots, Raves and Running a Label [Noel and not Liam on the cover?? aaarghhh... not buying it... Oasis was Liam's band, formed, named and fronted by him], released on November 7, he is described as, "a charismatic Glaswegian who partied just as hard as any of the acts on his notoriously hedonistic label, he became an infamous character in the world of music."
McGee is the first to admit that he was difficult at times and gleefully recounts the details of those party years before he fled the increasingly corporate ethos of the music industry in 1999.
"The old Alan McGee in the Eighties and Nineties probably wouldn’t make it in this climate," he says. "The only reason that I fit in with this climate now is because I’ve gotten older and more mellow. I never used to be mellow, I used to be a nightmare."
He acknowledges today's up-and-coming musicians face a very different world.
"The music industry has changed since I’ve been away," he says. "It used to be 50 per cent music and 50 per cent attitude but it’s so much harder for a band to make it now. It’s 40 per cent music and 60 per cent attitude.
"Music is less important now than having the right attitude to make it. The people that are making it now must be made of steel, they must have platinum characters.
"Twenty years ago you could be mental and a drug addict but it’s got so hard to make it that you’ll never make it. The attitude has never been more important. That’s what I’ve learnt in the first six months of being back in the music business," he adds.
McGee is refreshingly honest about the future. "It’s going great but what we don’t know is if anyone buys records any more but we’re going to find out," he laughs.
"We live in completely different times and we’re only in the first realms of technology. Before long there’s gonna be a tipping point, we’re either gonna be controlling the computers or they’re gonna be controlling us. We’re gonna merge with computers."
Yet he has fully embraced the power of social media. "I think it’s hugely important," he says. "That’s huge that you can just send it to me on Facebook. And If I like it, I’ll contact the person.
"If someone really wants to get music to me, I do my 359 music night in Liverpool. Come to a gig and give me a physical CD if you don’t want to send me a MP3, or send me a MP3. It's simple."
We have yet to see if within this batch of young talent McGee's spotted another Liam or Noel Gallagher, an artist who McGee credits as having the head for success as well as the drive.
"I met him 20 years ago. He would make any situation work, he would be on Facebook working at it. He’d be on instagram. He’s 47 now, he doesn’t need to do any of that, but the guy I met 20 years ago he would be working it all over the place."
who? Noel Gallagher? he even said the internet is responsible for the decline of society... even "it's the internet's fault for everything" (and videogames responsible for violence... sure, who is not playing some "shoot'em up" - excuse me the 80s term - and then goes out for some massacre?)
ah it was just another of Noel's lies... I see.
McGee may be internet-savvy but that doesn't mean he's embraced everything about today's music industry.
For wannabe musicians taking the X Factor route, McGee can't think of anything worse.
"I think it’s karaoke. We live in a karaoke culture, I think it’s inauthentic. The public gets what the public wants, if they like X Factor then they fucking deserve it.
"We’re living in times where someone picks your clothes, picks your songs, tells you what to say – it’s not authentic. People are puppets, musical puppets."
The advice that McGee gives to singer/songwriters who would rather give up their guitar than sell their soul to X Factor is simple: it's all about having the right attitude.
"Music’s been so devalued that people don’t even buy it any more unless you’re in the top, the little part of the pyramid," McGee says.
"You need to write songs but fuck me you need to get your attitude right, 'cause if you’ve got the right attitude you will win.
"Write songs, play every gig you get offered and learn your craft because that’s what music is."

"I met him when he was 14 because I went to a pub to DJ and help his dad. Little John got up on stage and absolutely smashed it. So I said if I ever got a record label, I'd like to sign him. I don’t know what it is but kids are becoming super talented really young."
359 Music's second release was It's Not About War from Chris Grant, who McGee met six years ago. "I knew about Chris Grant from MySpace in 2007 and I knew about Pete Mcloud, I met him in LA in 2008," he says.
With Mcloud's record Rolling Stone out today, McGee's now looking forward to introducing music lovers to Gun Club Cemetery, a rock 'n' roll three-piece releasing their self-titled album in a week's time.
Canadian singer Tess Parks' Blood Hot is out on on November 18. "I met Tess Parks on a film set because she was doing some acting work," McGee says. "She reminded me of a younger Courtney Love."
