Oasis and football memories


MILAN - 100 days to Euro 2012. The flag worn by Liam Gallagher ;). Here's some World Cup history since 1966.



England-Germany 4-2 (1966)

the Beatles times. Played at home in England, the one and only cup won by England (also with a ghost goal, it was no goal but they deserved). In 1967 Noel Gallagher was born and, as he's a jinx, England didn't win any other cup of any kind anymore (it must be one of those Oasis mysteries-the curse, of my video). 46 years have passed. As he always blames other people, let's blame him for one thing.
There was really a curse with this cup, with all the thefts and dead people involved, even a dog who found it, then choked by his own lead.
2:51 the Queen in a sort of yellow dress... in some other videos it's orange (in other ones: blue, lol). As usual: nice hats, lol.
Funny they were using the Union Jack and not England flag... maybe they should consider doing that again.


Italy-Germany 4-3 (semifinals, 1970)

the most famous football game in history: the epic Italia-Germania 4-3, but I wasn't born. My father was meeting Schnellinger at those times.

Germany-Italy 1-3 (1982)

For the series: somewhere down the line, YOU're Italian... Yesterday the legendary goalkeeper Dino Zoff turned 70 years old, @ 40 years old he won the World Cup (classic image).
30 years ago this legendary game... with Italian Republic president Pertini and the King of Spain. Cabrini vs Schumacher (lol) failed a penalty, goals by Paolo Rossi (top goalscorer), then Marco Tardelli celebration is unforgettable, final goal from Alessandro Altobelli.


Argentina-England 2-1 (quarter finals, 1986)

the most famous goal... I mean the one scored with a hand... Maradona the "hand of God", or: the hand of thieves. Of course Maradona and Messi are great players but I think overrated. Maradona was using drugs in those years, and they didn't check him. Messi seems so great but when he plays for Argentina without a team as Barcelona playing for him, he's quite normal and didn't win anything.


Italy-England 2-1 (1990, 3rd and 4th place final)

here I was a kid. Italy vs England games are quite rare, there should be more (I remember in 1997 @ Wembley a 0-1 with Zola scoring, times when he was playing in England for Chelsea).
They both didn't lose any game, out because of penalties (vs Argentina and Germany). There's also a young Pretty Green fan Paolo Maldini :)
England won the Fair Play award (fair play NME award? not credible anymore, lol), and the final images of this video with the "ola" (Mexican) wave are remembered as the best ones from the World Cup Italia 1990. Schillaci was the top goalscorer.

Ireland-Italy 1-0, Norway-Italy 0-1, Mexico-Italy 1-1 (group stage, 1994)

funny video. Now 4 World Cups but not the richest league. In this period we were travelling again on the tour bus (my first Oasis gig: Nottingham, Rock City 1994), there were many girls on our bus and we had a big surprise when a bus full of British people (men) overtook us, all of them smiling and waving their hands (why so much kindness? :) but suddenly they turned and showed us their nude arses ahahaha it was a shock, then someone told us it's a typical joke, lol. ‎Maybe typical for "pub teams" spending £7,000 as Noel...
It was another "shock of the flashing" ahaha as Liam's Patsy Kensit "flashing tits" @ Sanremo festival in Italy.
We laughed a lot but I preferred Patsy :)

we watched this in England while travelling from Newquay (surfers paradise :), Cornwall... Noel Gallagher would say: the fucking beach boys?! lol) to London, on a tourbus as those in Almost Famous, it took ages and we were sick (thank God Noel there were some delicious English biscuits...Noel Gallagher would say: everybody hates the English biscuits, lol).
Video-documentary in Madrid, Plaza Mayor, we were there in the same year, unforgettable city.
At the end Tassotti, now AC Milan 2nd manager, "elbowed" Luis Enrique, now Roma manager.
Baggio scored unforgettable goals taking Italy to the final (but he failed a penalty at the end), he was the best player in the world at those times.

England didn't even qualify for the World Cup, and in the next ones, Euro 1996, World Cup 1998 and 2006 they were out because of penalties... (as in 1990). Same for Italy in 1990, 1994 and 1998, but at least they were good in 2006. I think they should change that rule...it depends too much on luck, and causes heart attacks for the people.

This referee Byron Moreno from Ecuador refused the greetings to Italy at the beginning (how come?). They scored the 1-1 at the end. And then there was still the "golden goal" rule, who scored first, won. The referee didn't give us a regular goal and sent off Totti when that could be a penalty for us. Look at Vieri showing his tongue to the referee ahaha. The Korean player scoring was one playing in Italy and after this he was sacked, lol.
The referee was arrested for drugs.

For the final Italy-france we were at the Football English Pub with my bodyguards Beppe and Pippo, bouncers :) (and Kate Moss was not recognised by bouncers, lol), Italy world champion again. At the end there were people standing on chairs and tables, the atmosphere around the streets was unreal, as in a dream.

we were @ The Football English Pub where Liam was, after this I was walking around the pub, restless as Liam Gallagher onstage, lol. There was also a family from Leeds coming to Milan just for an event of cars, I was wearing an England red jersey and they saw me desperate so they consoled me and offered me everything to drink, lol. When it's your team suffering from a ghost goal, then you see how it feels.
And that linesman was the same one flagging Rooney for an absurd offside, he was alone in front of the goalkeeper (only a few people talked about it), just a few minutes before this. England was growing and with that 2-2 the game would've changed.
Unlucky England, as usual (Argentina's Maradona "hand of God" in 1986, penalties in 1990, Euro 1996, 1998, 2006 vs Portugal). Without that mistake by the goalkeeper Green in England-Usa, they could have been first in the group and avoid Germany.

it's PEACE between Liam and Noel, no court. OaSiS @ San Siro 2015: enough guts?

MANCHESTER - Exclusive: we are the first ones giving this news. Rockers Noel and Liam Gallagher have called off their bitter High Court battle – after their mum told them to stop fighting.
Peggy Gallagher scalded the former Oasis stars, telling them “enough is enough”, and they have agreed to finally call a truce.
A source close to the brothers said: “The lawsuits and allegations against each other have been dropped. Peace has broken out.
“They will never be best friends but it’s getting better. Peggy spoke to Liam and Noel and told them enough is enough and not to spend fortunes arguing in court.
“She urged them to stop and thankfully she is one person who they both love and respect. They have put the disputes behind them partly for her sake.
“Liam and Noel like a fight but the only person they won’t row with is their mum.”
The pair, who have an older brother Paul, are still not on good terms but the lawsuit has been dropped.
Noel and Liam’s teams declined to comment on their truce.

It's an historic moment (let's have a drink and celebrate), everybody will underrate it: the first step to the Oasis reunion. Noel, despite being the worst Oasis fan, is too interested in money (AKA, what a bitch...as Liam says: "he's a little bitch") and as you can see he's always saying absolutely no reunion (in Noel's "language" that means = yes reunion). And Liam loves Oasis much, he always says so.
The best thing would be to have Oasis @ San Siro in 2015 (try that, if you have balls enough, Noel), we deserve it 'cause it should've been the last gig (but then Noel left again 2 days before...etc.)

SCANDAL: a Carnival joke? ghost goal not given to us AC Milan England (as @ World Cup 2010). It wasn't even ghost, it was clearly one metre inside. It's Noel Del Piero's fault.
This is the result of continuously moaning and crying as an old woman (or old Noel Gallagher, that fucking jinx) of Juve manager Conte "piangina" since the first game, for stupid things. They've clearly influenced the referee. We already had to play without Ibrahimovic thanks to their moaning. Plus without Boateng and 10 injured players.
The referee didn't even go to talk with the linesman! it's IMPOSSIBLE that he hasn't seen... even the video shows that he was there, directly looking... (what is he there for?) and Juventus went into a counter-attack!! incredible. Muntari was even celebrating or he could score another time.
With a 2-0 the game would've totally changed. This is the same referee of Napoli-Milan not giving us a clear penalty...
Juventus is well known for the Calciopoli scandal, buying referees and games...

Pretty Green look book

LONDON - An interview with Pretty Green Look Book designer Dave Uprichard of One Big Company.
Creative design agency One Big Company designed the new S/S 2012 look book for Liam Gallagher’s clothing brand Pretty Green, which was then printed by Principal Colour in Kent. This beautifully made object was inspired by record sleeves and features stunning photography shot on London’s Hampstead Heath. We caught up with designer Dave Uprichard to find out what goes into putting a look book together.
Your most recent project has been the creation of a look book for Liam Gallagher’s clothing company Pretty Green. How did the collaboration come about?

Myself, Matt and Neil (the other members of the One Big Company team) were contacted by a former colleague from our time at Ted Baker who now designs the collections for Pretty Green.

Have you worked on the design of many look books over the years?

Yes indeed, working at Ted Baker they were one of the bi-annually repeated projects we looked forward to most and as a bonus towards the end of my time there they started creating a High Summer mini-lookbook too so I got to turn my hand to that as well.

What do you think sets the Pretty Green collection apart from other fashion collections for men?

Apart from the inherent sense of cool which comes through its associations with Liam Gallagher and the best bits of the British music scene what’s great about Pretty Green compared to other fashion collections is that each season is different - obviously your staples are still there but there’s no taking the best selling styles from previous collections, adding a different button or pocket to it and rolling out something which is 99% the same as last year.

What inspired the design of the look book?

It’s inspired by the British music scene of the 60s & 70s, the format is a 12” with a black slipcase to echo a record sleeve and then all the shots have been graded to give an aged analogue feel. There’s no digital crispness with this book, we wanted it to look raw.

Jenson is better than Lewis because he's an old style driver. Lewis learned to drive with videogames. Fact. Even Ron Dennis said that. He's started with kart but was learning with computers too.

Today I talked to some other usual ridiculous Lewis fans, who think that he was poor, so according to them, black = poor. And even blamed me to racist... unbelievable.
They sound as Noel Gallagher's fans, idolising him.
And of course they said Moss is wrong, so maybe they know more about driving than Sir Stirling Moss.
So they started to be racist, also saying people from Italy have a small cock! oh really those people, and even the women? lol. Never heard. In the real world, it's the opposite. They probably had their girlfriend fucked by a Latin lover.
The team always comes first. The drivers pass, the team remains. Blaming the team, as Lewis did, wasn't a brilliant idea... One as Lewis saying he's going to win all the races, is desperate. He wasn't even able to overtake one as Massa many times. Moss was already proven right, not only last year. Lewis won a title driving a McLaren, Jenson a Brawn.

At the age of 81, the English icon Sir Stirling Moss announced his retirement from competitive motor racing thus drawing a line under an illustrious career which has spanned 8 decades and seen him win 212 races. He was also the first Brit to win a Grand Prix on home soil.

The 16-time F1 grand prix winner (out of 66 races, before a near-fatal accident in 1962 saw him give up life as a Formula One driver), now 82 and speaking at the Motorsports Hall of Fame awards ceremony predicted that Button would once again profit from Hamilton’s perceived lack of concentration, having become the first of Hamilton's McLaren team-mates to earn more points in a season than him last year.
“Lewis does funny things, so one can’t be sure,” he said. “But I would put my money on Jenson. Yes I would. Lewis is terrific, he really is exceptionally quick, but Jenson thinks about certain things better than Lewis will.
"Like when it’s raining and whether or not to go in for a change of tyres.”
Hamilton, 27, out-qualified Button 13 times to six in 2011, but Moss said raw speed was not the issue, rather Hamilton’s propensity to let outside distractions affect his performance.
“He goes off and sort of screws it up sometimes doesn’t he? That’s the problem. Jenson is much more dedicated. I don’t mean in any way other than it means more to him what he’s actually doing, the actual driving and so on.
“The one thing you need in racing is concentration. So I worked hard on keeping my concentration for three hours because they were three hours races then.
"That’s a hell of a long time, particularly when there are pretty girls you can wave at and blow kisses to.”

Owen Morris: it was easy for Noel to manage Oasis

LONDON - I've read that Noel is saying that he could even be England's new manager (he's God, so why not the Pope?) 'cause he had been managing himself well for 20 years... Oh, didn't he manage Oasis? Now it's himself.
All those difficulties he always talked about, that made him leave the band 3 times, sound even more ridiculous now.
Of course they also had a manager, Marcus.

Beyond the artists, looking at the mixers, the engineers and the producers, the people on the desk who make it all happen. Owen Morris, a man who was at the centre of arguably Oasis’ most successful period. Coming in as a technician for ‘Definitely Maybe’, Morris went on to produce ‘What’s The Story (Morning Glory)’ and ‘Be Here Now’.
He's one of the THREE guys on the cover artwork of Morning Glory, he can be seen in the background holding a copy of the album’s master tape. The two guys "meeting" are Brian and the deejay Sean Rowley.

When people read or write about you, they’re going to cite Oasis first. As a producer, what was the first record you worked on?

I came in on ‘Definitely Maybe’. I mixed it and arranged the guitars. That was a good project and after that I recorded everything they did for a couple of years. Oasis was a lot of fun, I’m very, very grateful for working with Oasis. They were very easy to work with.

Ok – so they weren’t difficult at all to control?

No – not at all. It was a very controlled environment, I mean, Noel Gallagher ran a very tight ship. And everybody was very professional, really. Working with them was very easy.
Oasis weren’t lazy, they were lucky because they had Liam able to sing the songs.

When you were working on ‘Definitely Maybe’, did you get a sense of how much of an impact it was going to have as an album?

No, not really, I don’t think anybody did. We thought it’d be successful but we didn’t think it’d turn them into the big band of the 90s.

Was it a different atmosphere in the studio when you were working on the next record, ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory’?

Well, it was a pretty similar atmosphere because they wanted to be there and it was very work-focused – we recorded and finished a song a day. So it was very much about getting it done. The atmosphere was very good, like I say, because everybody wanted to be there.

MILAN - You remember last year there was "calling the kid Beady Eye by the end of the year" (said by Liam)...as we didn't have kids yet, this year it's "by the end of the world" :))
(21 December 2012, time: 11:11 am). And you remember all the strange Oasis artworks... the "Oasis curse - mysteries"...
We noticed that between this and the recent post "weekend trip to Fucking, Austria", there are about 9 months... it's written, we must make this kid called BeadyEye, LOL.
Then the kid is gonna be proud and tell everybody: my name is Beadyeye and I was conceived in Fucking, Austria (LOL). He/She's both a boy and a girl...as in Tommy by the Who: it's a boooyyy... no, it's a girl. Or: it's Noel, that is: both of them ahahaha
In Italian (Roman dialect) it's: "o' famo strano 'sto pupetto", LOL (=we make this baby in a strange way), from a popular comic film.
Really original child, unique. Maybe a bit too much.
Now seriously, I think having a child nowadays is the worst idea one could have. I mean, it's probably the biggest joy one could have in life but how much time would it last? some weeks? then it would be all about spending money, well wasting money, having seen the results of the new generations, not sleeping, more problems as if they weren't enough, and shitting everywhere (lol).
They say they're sure I would be a perfect dad. And I already don't sleep at night (but in the morning). And I've got A LOT of time on my hands (lol). So I could be a perfect baby sitter :) (desperate househusband), full of shit around ahahaha Not sure about it... I know children like me, but the feeling is not always mutual.

MILAN - Beckham was right. Breaking news: AC Milan-Arsenal 4-0. How we didn't win even 7-0 is beyond me, we felt pity for them. "A few goals in Italy", "boring football", as the English always say eh... yeah very boring.
Today I received loads of jealous racist insults (really pointless insults, 'cause I showed them how they are inferior in every single thing), and before the game even Arsenal hooligans messing in Milan. Shows how pathetic their team is. I like Man City, and a bit also Liverpool and Chelsea, but cheating Manchester United and Arsenal are a total scum. I dislike them even more than United. Dictionary, arse-ass: Assenal.

I think there's a mistake in these lyrics from their official site: I think it should be: SIE sind, plural. "Es" is "it", so here it's like: IT ARE...
it must have been Noel Gallagher writing them ahahaha "you was" and things like that in his blog.
in fact, then it says: SIE sind die Besten.
Maybe they wanted to use some archaic language, but the matter is modern of our days. I'm not so expert of German but I know that English is quite "elastic" and many things are conceded. In Italian you just can't really mistake even one letter or it's a mistake.

Then they tell me things as something nice at Noel gigs don't happen at Beady Eye gigs... oh yeah, and at Beady Eye gigs also don't happen that fans insult Noel as it happen at Noel gigs insulting Liam... it shows the little fans they are, as the little man he is.

as for Oasis, it was the girls who introduced us to their music.
When we were at school in the 90's we escaped from the classroom from the window -> corridor and to play songs as this one with 4, 6, 8 hands in a hidden room that had a piano. Good ol' times... if we didn't start to follow the Queen, we wouldn't have become Oasis fans... English bands, great frontmen, great quality music. I know, I should've studied some more Britalian :) but then I put my life in the hands of a rock'n'roll band, and they didn't throw it all away yet, 'cause there's still Beady Eye :)

the early 90's were the times when the first CDs came out, and we already had everything on tapes and vinyls, and being huge fans we were buying the Cds too. One day I sold one thing by the Queen 'cause I had too many copies of it, and one of my friends goes: WHAT?! you have sold a NIGHT AT THE OPERA??!! ('cause he wanted to buy it, his 7th copy of the same album, lol). It was like a religion, even more sick than God Noel godlike fans.

LOS ANGELES - Tribute to another great singer gone too soon. There was one missing on my post about the 80's, my dad was a big fan. It's a cemetery recently. Whitney Houston was found dead, aged 48. 
fuck... born 1963 is close to 1967 Noel Gallagher's... (I'm not ironic eh about Noel the little piece of shit insulting legends who just died as he did with Michael Jackson...). 190 million albums sold, Noel dream on. Not even with Oasis you could do half of it. They sold 70 million in their whole career, God Noel sounds like a local artist.

Mancini: Capello could have won Euros

I agree with Mancini... Capello had only one chance to win a trophy, and those referees in Germany-England are not really innocent... (ghost goal and absurd offside flagged for Rooney in front of the goalkeeper... and it was the same linesman...).
Roberto Mancini believes the FA have lost a man who could have won them Euro 2012 in Fabio Capello.
The Manchester City boss has jumped to the defence of his fellow Italian after he quit the England post this week.
Few have lamented Capello's departure but Mancini believes England could rue the day they let him go.
He said: "I don't know the reason for it but I can say that the national team has lost a top manager.
"And I think that with Fabio they had a big chance to win the European Championships."
But City's table-topping boss believes he could provide the new manager with an answer as to who his new captain should be.
John Terry has had the armband taken off him and Steven Gerrard is among the favourites to be given it.
But Mancini believes City star Gareth Barry would be an able skipper. His defensive midfielder has captained his country from the start once in a friendly against Ghana almost a year ago.
And after 51 caps, he certainly has the experience. Mancini insists he also has the ability as he acclaimed the player, who turns 31 this month, as one of his unsung heroes.
The former Inter Milan chief said: "Some players maybe don't seem as important as others but in the end they are the most important players.
"These players can play in every position on the pitch, fight for every ball, help their manager and team-mates and are always available.
"I think he could be an England captain because he is a clever man on the pitch, a really good player.
"Capello thought that, too, because he always played him."
A new man at the England helm could also open the door again for City defender Micah Richards.
And Mancini has called on the 23-year-old to to prove he is the best right-back in England.
Richards is behind Liverpool's Glen Johnson and Kyle Walker of Spurs in the England pecking order — despite his fine form for the league leaders.
Mancini has long trumpeted Richards' potential. But he warned him not to expect an immediate recall — his last cap was in November 2010 — as he still has much to prove.
Mancini said: "Micah has everything to become a top full-back.
"He has improved a lot in the last year but he can still improve, he can do better. At this moment for the national team, probably Johnson or Walker are better.
"But I don't want to say Micah can't play for the national team — if he wants, Micah can.
"If one England manager has a choice of three — Johnson, Walker, Micah — one players stays out.
"Micah played with Capello but there are a lot of players and a manager can call only 20-22 for a European Championship."
About the league, Mancini said: "We can't think about the other teams. We have another 14 games and every one is going to be difficult. We know we are going to have to win a lot of them."

FUCKING - (lol) Let's everybody update our "current location" to this town: Fucking, Austria. The world will be a better place.
For an Oasis fan, this is a cult trip. We could go @ Easter weekend, in the centre of Europe, reachable for anyone.

featuring the legendary Marcello Mastroianni (quite nervous character in this film), we still think about this movie everytime a foreign girl comes visiting Italy on holidays, so you have to treat her as a Princess. In the film there were also the "paparazzi" photographers, for the first time using that word (from the name of a character, Paparazzo - Liam used to hate them :).
I talked to a Polish girl who was saying a series of bad things about here, and at the end she admitted that she has not even been to Italy in all her life. As I was saying a 1000 times (some countries can't understand it), Italy is very different from zone to zone... it's even more than only one country, there's a strong regionalism, similar to England. People, dialects, etc. can change even from town to town.

This is a music band from Milano (Elio e le Storie Tese), who made a series of videos mocking the people living in different parts of Italy. This is about Milan, lol.
As I was saying in the post about the "Dolce vita", sometimes foreign girls are worried to go to Italy, 'cause they think everybody is a "latin lover", so it's "dangerous" for them, but as you can see, in Milan there's no risk, LOL
one says "what a divine colour"... but in Italian "di vino" also means "of wine", so the other says: "which wine? you cretin" (cretin in a feminine form, cretina LOL)

Liam: the more of me in the world the better

LONDON - This is an answer to Noel's "Britain was better under Margaret Thatcher".
Today, the singer is something of a reformed character. It’s over two years since Oasis acrimoniously split. The man I’m talking with, lives with his second wife and their ten-year-old son on the edge of London’s Hampstead Heath.
We’ve been happily discussing the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, nappy-changing and school runs, curious conversation topics.

I’m still a young man and I want to get stuff done. I love running. I’ve got a shed, but there’s not much in it – just a Flymo. Get back to me in a year and you might see some mad gardening going on.
It takes more than blood to be my brother. I’ve still got the right hump and now the gloves are off. We’re still not talking. If people think I’m going to be happy about the Oasis split, then they’re wrong. Even though I love Beady Eye, I’d prefer to still be in Oasis, because that was my thing. Oasis was my life.
I live and breathe rock’n’roll. This isn’t a hobby for me. It’s been great doing all these shows, going back to square one. It’s good to see the crowd and hear them. Long may that continue. Big gigs are soulless masses of people – I’m glad I’ve done them, but I don’t miss them. I’ve got nothing to prove anyway.
I’d rather people looked like me than Ronan Keating. I don’t mind it at all. The more of me in the world the better, I say. I’m down with it. I’ve just got to keep ahead of the pack.
How can you be stylish if you never wash? Look at these grungers – they just walk around filthy with matted hair and smelly T-shirts, looking like tramps – where’s the park bench and the Special Brew? And I despise this new disease of indie student music – Bloc Party and all that nonsense.
I don’t want to reinvent the wheel. I always thought Brian Jones looked the bollocks. George Harrison was cool and Paul Weller always looked good. Those are the three most stylish men in history for me, and the most overrated is my brother. He dresses like Val Doonican. But it’s the usual stuff, Sixties rock ’n’ roll – the Kinks, the Who, the Stones – that’s the vibe for me. It’s fine as it is, so let it be.
If it doesn’t look good on me then I’m not having it.
I keep an eye on things. I want to make the best clothes for the lad on the street or the next rock star in the making. The way I go about it is that I go through the wardrobe and think, ‘I’d like that new, in a nicer cloth’, and get it made. Or I delve into the past and make the clothes I always wanted. I see my label, Pretty Green, going everywhere.
Quadrophenia – the music, the clothes – is the height of British style.
Better than the Madchester scene or Britpop or anything else. The clothes were cool. A lot of people had nothing in those days – just a scooter and a house party to go to in Brighton. But it was good. There’s too much going on these days. There’s too much choice and not enough quality.
There are more hardcore mods than me. I definitely go for the mod more than the rocker business, but I like Neil Young, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, a lot of really out-there and psychedelic stuff. To be honest, I’ve got my own thing going on. My style comes from football and all that casual thing.
Everyone had a certain look in the Eighties. Music and football collided then. Meanwhile, a lot round my way used to wear dinner jackets and flares and walk about with walking sticks, and they looked cool.
I never sold drugs, but to get the odd thing I was a bit of a blagger.
I had honest work in a garden factory creosoting fences, until the boss told me to clean the toilet out. I cleared off, then I worked with my dad on his building firm, went out labouring. I’d go to church with my mum and then go home and see her get proper battered by my dad. She left him when I was ten.
Starting out with Oasis didn’t freak me out at all. I’d been digging holes in Manchester for the previous four years, so I was ready for it. I was like: here’s your spade, you can have it! It all felt good to me. I didn’t take five years off to sit down and talk about how great I am. We went straight into the studio after the fight in Paris and we haven’t stopped since. You only get one crack at it, so you might as well get on with it, do it well and do it right. The busier the better.

Beckham: Milan always in my heart, I miss you so much

LONDON - One would expect David Beckham saying "Manchester United is always in my heart" (or Real Madrid), having played there for many years. But Beckham "forgot" them and named Milan when asked about his career, even though he could play for the Italian champions for a few months only. He said it's something he always keeps inside himself.
The "Spice boy", Oasis fan (attending the Gallaghers last gig in Milan), back to London for the launch of his line "David Beckham Bodywear for H&M" (underwear), recently refused his transfer to Paris (Saint Germain), plus other rumours about him joining English clubs, and stays in Los Angeles for the family, to play with LA Galaxy.
For the Champions League's Milan-Arsenal, he predicted AC Milan to win.

The Who's legend comes to our country with something special for Italy: 8 dates, for the show with the mods symbol, the final one in Milano, 24 March (@ Smeraldo theatre).
(you know, for me the real beginning of the year is with the 25 of March, as the English "old fashioned" calendar)

It's a rock opera from 1969 (their other one is Quadrophenia). There will be songs by the singer too, and videos, an unforgettable experience for all the generations.
Pete Townshend doesn't play (on guitar his brother Simon) but is enthusiastic about this show.

The album's title was taken from the words made famous by Sir Isaac Newton: "If I can see further than anyone else, it is only because I am standing on the shoulders of giants". Noel saw the quote on the side of a £2 coin while in a pub and liked it so much he thought it would be a suitable name for the new album. He then wrote the name on the side of a cigarette packet while drunk. When he awoke in the morning, he realised he had written "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants", not "shoulders"

Music never moved anything, not even in the '60s, at Vietnam times. Rock influences look, attitudes, but not politics. Maybe knowing him Lennon was an idiot, I wouldn't got on well with him and would have hated him. People speak too much of his life, pacifism, and so on, I'm interested only in his songs.

For going around we were still using a tour bus, and as it was our first time there, we had a big surprise when a bus full of British people overtook us, all of them smiling and waving their hands but suddenly they turned and showed us their arses ahahaha

I was at 3 Oasis gigs in 1 month, even climbing the Italian Alps, highest European mountains, and arriving first in Switzerland, my last Oasis gig, seen it on the front row in front of Noel winking an eye at me ;) (and Glasvegas did the same) playing as in room for me and two Swiss birds lol, the "veline" :))

..... Balotelli ahahaha and City symbol on Noel's guitar :). This tune was my alarm clock to wake up in the morning from '97 to 2000. At a 1997 gig after the first chord of 'Be here now' I was literally flying, gone fuckin' mad fer it, continuously shouting and jumping embraced with all the people. Best fun of my life.

In his 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere', Noel refers to Italy as the bands’ 'spiritual home' and anyone who has been to an Oasis gig in Italy will know why. It’s fitting that Oasis have chosen Milan to stage the final show...
