I noticed some old Oasis fansites are disappearing recently in the last weeks... one from Rome, Mexico, etc. ...is this the effect of Noel Gallagher solo? Oasisblues won't quit. Noel fans, you gotta "hold on", lol ("chi si ritira dalla lotta...")

NEW DELHI - Another great race for Jenson Button, from the 4th position, immediately 2nd. 

Try to recognise who is Mister Bean here... (the English actor is Rowan Atkinson). So many times in Oasis photos and videos I thought he was so similar to Noel Gallagher ahaha
There's someone behaving as Mister Bean this year... a total disaster. You know I dislike Ferrari and have a bad opinion about Massa, not a good driver. But I see that Hamilton makes mistakes every time when he's trying to overtake him (is it so difficult? It shouldn't be...). To be honest, the penalty given to Massa, instead of Hamilton, is just ridiculous.
Formula 1 paid tribute to Marco Simoncelli and Dan Wheldon, at the end Jenson said Marco was an amazing motorcycle rider.

Da notare Jean Todt che appena ha visto Giovannelli è scappato e durante il minuto di silenzio guardava l'orologio...

Telecronaca come sempre allucinante... Mazzoni ci ha messo un sacco di tempo a capire che quel gran pilota scattato dalla 4a posizione e subito 2o, non era Hamilton come continuava a ripetere, ma Button. Solo grazie alla grafica che è venuta fuori sulla tv...

Mi ha sempre "affascinato" anche la grafica della regia italiana che quando iniziano le qualifiche scrive "prima eliminatoria" (cos'è? un concorso di bellezza? lo sci? perchè parlano di "manche"...) come fosse un linguaggio d'altri tempi e una grafica primitiva, così come il telecronista fuori tempo. Se proprio vogliono usare metodi tradizionali di tempi remoti, suggerisco di utilizzare signorine (magari in topless) che passano davanti alzandoci un cartello (e non solo quello), come nel pugilato.
Forse usano quelle scritte perchè pensano che il pubblico è rincoglionito come loro... peccato che non vengono qui a leggere.
Alla fine Hamilton, che ormai mi sta sulle balle (si era capito?), ha risposto col contagocce a quell'incompetente di Stella Bruno, che gli ha chiesto dell'incidente: niente, parlo della gara. Bene, com'è stata la tua gara? Boring. Fine dell'intervista.
Tutto questo per dire che questa F1 in tv è tutta da rifare.

Noel Gallagher: Mario Balotelli is a total rock'n'roller

LONDON - Finally, also Noel Gallagher realised Mario Balotelli is a great player, Liam already did, last year.
Recently Noel said that he wants to meet him 'cause "he's a good boy" (well, not sure about that) and that he's a legend.

Noel has now explained that people love the Manchester City striker as he lives life on the edge.
The ex Oasis guitarist stated that the Italian attacker is a "total rock'n'roller".
Gallagher added that some of the stunts Balotelli has become famous for have caught the eye of the general public due to the fact they have always wondered what it would be like to act in that way.
Balotelli has been featured in the news for setting off fireworks from a window of his home, handing out money to homeless people in Manchester city centre and high-fiving fans from his car (well, plus two or three other things...).
But his form on the pitch finally seems to be living up to his antics off the field, with him scoring twice in the recent thrashing City doled out to Manchester United earlier in the month.
He now has six goals this season (though he doesn't play every game, but scores one every 60 minutes) and has helped City to the top of the Premier League.

Beady Eye 1st in the world chart, Noel Gallagher 2nd

LONDON - Another "Liam-Noel 1-0", after all those music magazines reviews giving 2 stars out of 5 to the disappointing album by Noel.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is 2nd in the biggest selling albums chart in the world for some days, Liam's Beady Eye were 1st for some days. And Noel's result is even more disappointing, as the 1st is still Adele, whose album was released last January (!). Same in Italy, Adele 1st, Noel 2nd. Almost the same in the UK now, Coldplay 1st, Noel 2nd.
Sorry for repeating but this is the result. Beady Eye 1st in South America, Japan, etc. and 2nd in the first 6 months vinyls chart, now still 3rd.
I thought there were more Noel fans among the liars of tabloids, but I see there are more Noel fans than Liam fans among the Oasis fans... so maybe there are more liars among Noel fans...
Another hilarious comment from a Noel fan: "gem and andy may be great but im ssure liam takes control of them, for example, they never get a word in at an interview .. its always about liam. they may have great capabilities but theyre not getting a chance to use them."
....oh sure, exactly wrong, the opposite of reality, probably influenced by the press the people read. These fans missed so many interviews with Andy and Gem... who always said that Beady Eye is a democracy. It was at Oasis times that only Noel could speak (and above all: decide everything, not Liam) and not Andy, not Gem. I would have never thought the fans could confuse Liam with Noel. It's so always about Noel that he even left the band to do his "only about me"...
Beady Eye are a band, Noel is a SOLO artist (aren't his fans always proud of that? the poor inexperienced boy? now suddenly he isn't anymore?)
Completely "blinded by what they idolise"... I have to thank them 'cause they always give me every day so much material to write about his fans' obtuseness.

F1 memories: Monaco 1993

MONTECARLO - And about Montecarlo, I post this here too.
Adriane Galisteu (again about her :) was Senna's new girlfriend at those times. We were there that year (and also came back another time in that period), I found these old pics, and we have more. And also drove on that legendary circuit anticlockwise, lol.
On Thursday (you know, no Formula 1 on Friday in Monaco, the prince must sleep :), it was raining and (quite strange) Senna had a bad accident, so for the qualifying & race his hand was bandaged. And the super Williams by Prost was one second faster : you know, those were the times of so much electronics on the cars, so the driver was less important. The situation for Senna was very difficult, but this was Montecarlo... everything could happen.

Nobody could expect this, Prost the bastard made a false start, so he got a penalty (10 seconds of stop&go). As already happened some weeks before, in the legendary (Europe) GP in Donington, England (with Senna overtaking some cars under the rain in the first lap, becoming first), Prost made the car turn off and was 22th. So, Schumacher was first, but then retired for a mechanical problem.
Prost was one lap late, when Ayrton was about to lap him, the french didn't let him pass... Ayrton protested with his hand against him, then overtook him. Of course Ayrton won (and so he was incredibly first in the drivers standings), 6th win for him in Monaco (it's still the record).

the good and bad year of our Men In Black

Strange, mad, year this 2011, isn't it. But definitely positive so far. The Gallagher "Blues" Brothers back with their albums and tours, Manchester City back to win something after 35 long years, AC Milan back to win too, after 3 years. While at least I've become the biggest fan that Liam and Jenson Button could ever have, I lost my supporting faith in Noel and Lewis Hamilton, I was a big fan. 

The (almost) "first black driver in F1" had a very bad year, and now is also single (that is not so bad :).

On the contrary, our other black hero Balotelli is having a very good year, "man of the match" @ FA Cup final, destroying Man United so easily and becoming a positive character.

Sometimes I speak bad of other countries for some reason, but of course I also speak bad of mine sometimes. Some people here (but not only in Italy) support some celebrities "because they're black", that is so stupid, in my opinion (who's the racist?). In England they usually (but not always, of course) don't even look at the race. I would anyway support Balotelli if he was white, I would anyway talk shit of Hamilton if he was white.

Fabio Capello saluted Manchester City hero Mario Balotelli as a reformed character.
And he praised City manager Roberto Mancini for keeping faith with the bad-boy striker.
England boss Capello said: "Balotelli is no longer the person he was a little while ago.
"He accepts referees' decisions and has put himself at the team's disposal.
"It is due reward for Mancini, who has wanted to keep him in the team despite having read all those terrible things about him.
"Balotelli is a player of huge class and his coach can strike it rich with him.

Formula 1 ace Lewis Hamilton says he's been through a "tough time" since splitting from singer Nicole Scherzinger.
The Sun exclusively revealed the pair had called it a day last week after four years together.
Lewis, 26, said: "These times are sent to try you. And it's about how you pull through them."
He is still in touch with the beauty, 33, saying: "We're friends and we can move forward. I have my family who are helping. So I feel pretty good."
Nicole wouldn't discuss her ex as she filmed Alan Carr's Chatty Man Channel 4 show.
An audience member said: "It was embarrassing. Lewis was what we wanted to know about."

The Who's Quadrophenia exhibition launches at Pretty Green

LONDON - Vespa and Milano Lambretta. Last night saw the launch of The Who's Quadrophenia exhibition at our flagship store in Carnaby Street.
The night kicked off with a scooter rally down the famous Carnaby Street walk after which guests were allowed into the store to explore the never seen before exhibition.
The Pretty Green Carnaby Street store showcases Pete Townshend's archives of notes, desk diaries, photos and original lyrics from the making of Quadrophenia alongside album artwork and outages. Also a replica Vespa PX has been made to look like the legendary GS from the album shoot.

The exhibition is now open to public (free entry) at the Pretty Green Carnaby Street store (57 Carnaby Street, London, W1F 9QF) and will be available for viewing until 31st January 2012.

We were expecting two new mixes from Andy to lead up to the UK tour in November. However he has been in touch over the weekend to give us this brand new mix - 'What The World Is Waiting For...' - and asked that it be uploaded first. The other two mixes will also be released in the coming weeks.

Beady Eye will be taking to the road in South America at the end of October before returning to the UK to play a five date tour, they will then finish off the year touring North America. The three tours will round off a great year for Beady Eye which saw their debut album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' certified Gold, and the band perform over 90 concerts in four continents.

tribute to Marco Simoncelli

(Oasis music Live forever, piano version) - the funeral is on Thursday 27, 2:30pm on Italian tv Italia1 channel from Milan (also satellite). The people are still shocked.
His nickname was "Sic", yes he was also a bit "sick" 'cause he was mad :)
In the accident he fell and was hit on the only delicate part of a motorcycle racer - the neck - by the American Colin Edwards who couldn't do anything to avoid him and got injured too. Marco lost the helmet, that's really strange. We thought, just to smile a bit, that is was because of his hair.
The other day the AC Milan legend Gattuso, who is having a serious problem with his eye and maybe can't play football anymore, explained his problem and had an AC shirt with the name of Simoncelli on it.
Photo above: AC just a few minutes after the news of the accident last Sunday. Ironically, as Marco was an AC fan, they had the only match at that hour (and won 3-4 though they were losing 3-0, it never happened something like this to AC).
The event "Eicma international exhibition" will be dedicated to him.

Mario Balotelli, rocket man: I try to stay at home more

LONDON - Mario was even on the first page of the Financial Times and is becoming a hero in England, they dedicated him Rocket Man, lol. "...they think I am at home (with fireworks :)". 

Btw, Elton John said Oasis are stupid sods, what a faggot ahaha I like his music.

After firing in the first of two goals against Man United, Mario Balotelli was booked for flashing a T-shirt with the words, "Why Always Me?" 

Fans, managers and commentators have been asking a similar question about the controversial Man City striker ever since he arrived in the Premier League last summer.

Not since England ace Paul Gascoigne has a footballer been in the headlines so often for his behaviour on and off the pitch.

The 21-year-old Italian has a knack of being sent off, winding up opponents and getting into trouble with the law. Yet his supreme talent persuaded Blues boss Roberto Mancini to pay Inter Milan a reported £24million for him.

That huge outlay was rewarded on Sunday with a stunning performance against arch rivals United at Old Trafford in a 6-1 win.

The £100,000-a-week striker was soaking up the adulation yesterday, with City fans claiming he was high-fiving them from his convertible Bentley.

In the run-up to Sunday's game Mario had claimed that he had changed his ways and was putting his wild days behind him.

He said: "I try to stay at home more. Maybe I'll stay in with my family, my brother or girlfriend.

"They weren't here last year. That's definitely helped. I am also growing up."

But this new, improved Mario did not last long.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, one of Balotelli's pals let off a firework in the bathroom of his Cheshire home during a party.

It caused a serious fire, with Mario and guests all having to flee.

Fortunately two fire crews managed to put out the flames.

According to reports, cops had to stop Mario returning to the blazing property to collect some things.

While that might sound like odd behaviour, in the world of Mario it is par for the course.

He had a reputation for being a handful at home in Italy, well before he joined Man City.

While he was playing for Inter Milan, then manager and ex-Chelsea chief Jose Mourinho described him as "unmanageable".

In June last year police officers in Milan found Balotelli and three friends in an Audi car with a cap gun. Earlier there had been reports of a weapon being fired.

And Balotelli had to apologise to Inter fans for appearing on TV in the shirt of hated rivals AC Milan (he's a fan).

An unsettled upbringing may explain the player's wild streak.

His Ghanaian birth parents, Thomas and Rose Barwuah, put Mario in the care of Italians Francesco and Silvio Balotelli when he was aged two.

Mario claims they "abandoned" him. But the Barwuah's claim they only let the Balotellis foster him because they could help with medical care for Mario, who had problems with his intestines.

Mancini, who had also managed Balotelli at Inter, believed that he could tame Balotelli's wild ways when he signed him for Man City.

It quickly proved to be optimistic.

Mario helped Man City to win this year's FA Cup and won man of the match, but he has earned £300,000 in club fines since joining the Blues and has been sent off twice.

He was also seen scuffling with team-mate Jerome Boateng at training.

And in March he threw a dart at a youth team player at the club's Carrington training ground.

On top of that, he angered Mancini by missing the goal with a silly backheel during a friendly against David Beckham's team LA Galaxy in July.

He loves his cars but is just as unpredictable behind the wheel. He crashed a £120,000 Audi R8 sports car in Manchester last August.

On another occasion, when police asked why he had £25,000 in his glove compartment, the player replied: "Because I can".

His love life is no less eventful. He came to England with Miss Italy finalist Melissa Castagnoli but they split shortly afterwards.

He was soon dating former Big Brother girl Sophie Reade. That did not end well either. She claimed he went off with her best friend. He is currently dating Italian actress Raffaella Fico.

There is no doubt that Mario is an attention seeker. He likes to wear outlandish clothes and change his eccentric hairstyles. At the moment Mario is sporting a mohican, before that it was a variety of zig-zag designs.

Diamond stud earrings are a favourite and he turned up for one game last year wearing a hat shaped like a giant glove.

The striker also stands out with his attitude towards his fellow professionals. Mario wound up Man United defender Rio Ferdinand by winking at him after City won 1-0 in the FA Cup semi-final in April. In December he was just as provocative when he won the Golden Boy award, honouring Europe's most talented under-21 player.

When asked what he thought about second place Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshire, he replied: "What's his name? Wil... ? No, I just don't know him."

But Mancini continues to feed Balotelli's ego.

The Man City boss says he thinks Mario can become one of the world's top players if he loses his crazy streak.

Mancini said: "I hope we arrive at the day when Mario has changed because, after this, he becomes one of the best three players in the world, like Messi, like Cristiano Ronaldo."

But he may have a long wait.

Balotelli is already making light of his house fire last weekend by hosting a Bonfire Night.

He is currently staying at a posh hotel in Manchester while renovations are carried out on his multi-million pound property. But he has already invited his mates for the next round of parties.

A source said: "He has invited everyone round for a bonfire night.

"It was a serious fire and a fair bit of damage was done but Mario hasn't let it faze him."

Oh and today in a video answering to the fans on Twitter, we found out that the story about him organizing the Christmas party was another lie told by tabloids... so disappointing :)

MANCHESTER - Oh this is new, they were just the usual lies told by tabloids...

Mario Balotelli has thrown his weight behind a regional campaign to promote firework safety, after his bathroom caught fire due to the antics of one of his friends at the weekend.
The City striker hit the headlines for the right reasons on Sunday for a two-goal salvo in the 1-6 Manchester derby win at Old Trafford. But after also making the news the day before due to the incident at his house, Mario wanted to set the record straight.
And, with bonfire night less than two weeks away, Mario was keen to get an important message out.
“The newspapers got the story wrong about me and the fire at my house. I didn’t set any fireworks off, it was a friend of mine. I didn’t know anything about it until I heard the shouting coming from the bathroom," he said.
“Luckily, nobody was injured, and my friend apologised to me for the damage to my house. It was a really stupid thing for him to do, someone could have been really hurt, and I was really, really angry with him about it.
It is an important message that children should not mess with fireworks.

They can be very dangerous if they are not used in the right way. People should follow the firework code.”
A new campaign, TREACLE, has been launched in Manchester to give information about enjoying fireworks in a safe manner.

Mario Balotelli admits he was left speechless by the 1-6 win at Old Trafford (also: Old Toilet, lol).
The in-form Blues striker scored twice as Roberto Mancini’s men strode into a five-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
And the Italian international later dedicated his goals to City’s fans.
“The feeling was great. To win a derby away at Old Trafford is one thing, but to win it 1-6, none of us knew what to say. We were really happy,” he confessed.
"It was brilliant. It was a great atmosphere; it was a derby, so that’s what you expect. My first goal was a good goal. I’m a striker and sometimes you don’t think about what you will do.
Those types of goal, sometimes they go inside and sometimes they don’t. It was on target and it was a good goal, so I was happy.
I think the best goal we scored at United was Sergio’s, it was a good move. My second goal was a fantastic assist from Milner, and we played like a team for that one. Only a good team can score a goal like that.

I think this win and this performance showed everyone that we can be the best.
I think yesterday was one of the best we have ever played together for sure.
At the moment, we play well every week, but the derby was special. The more important thing was the result, then the score and the performance. All of them were good for us against United, so we are happy.

I have to say thank you to our fans.
Even when I have had bad moments they have always supported me. They have always sung my name and cheered me. That is important to me. I wanted to say thanks, and scoring two goals for City at Old Trafford was my way of doing that. That was my thank you.
United is now yesterday and now I’m focussed on tomorrow and Wolverhampton. I need to be focussed to score more goals, keep playing well and to help our team to win."

And Balotelli touched on why he risked the referee’s wrath and wore his ‘Why Always Me’ t-shirt under his kit.

“I did it for many reasons, but I’ll leave it for other people to figure out what it means! I’m sure people can work it out,” he smiled.
“The thing at the weekend didn’t come from me, it came from one of my friends and one of my brother’s friends. Maybe I should be more careful about who I let in my house. But it wasn’t about me, I didn’t do anything."

And will there be any more shirt messages?

“No, because otherwise I’ll get booked every week, so it was a one-off for United,” he concluded.

This is shocking. He was also an AC Milan fan. It's a mad Sunday, AC Milan from losing 3-0, won 3-4, though the referee was against us, non-existent penalty, irregular goal, penalty not given, etc.

Balotelli's bathroom fireworks

MANCHESTER - ahahaha legend. Two days ago he said he's mature now ^.^ ...stay young please.
The ones insulting him, are fucking boring people. He's a fucking genius 'cause he must have thought: I do it in the bathroom 'cause there's water there, nothing can happen, lol.
Two fire engines were sent to the house of Mario Balotelli last night — after a firework went off in his bathroom. 

The Manchester City striker escaped unharmed after the late night incident at his Macclesfield home. 

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service discovered a fire in the bathroom on the first floor, with four firefighters dousing the flames using their hose. 

A spokesman for the fire department said: "Crews managed to put the fire out within half an hour of arriving but remained at the scene until 2.45am to prevent any possible flare-ups.

"Smoke alarms were fitted at the property and the occupiers were able to get out unharmed. The fire was caused by a firework."

The cause of the blaze is being examined by fire investigators and police but is not being treated as suspicious.

Mario wanted to organize the Christmas party, but forgot that in that period in England they play football every 3 days, not as here in Italy with 15 days of holidays aha (maybe 20 this year)

Liam on Pretty Green and music

NEW YORK CITY - Thursday was a big day for Liam Gallagher. In the midst of a tour with current band Beady Eye, the former Oasis frontman has got a lot on his plate right now, including his debut as a film producer for a movie adaptation of The Longest Cocktail Party, a book written by a former Apple Records assistant. His burgeoning career in fashion is also flourishing: last night, his clothing line Pretty Green – which just announced a special Quadrophenia parka collaboration with The Who – won Best Breakthrough International Brand at the WGSN Awards. It's a major achievement for any label, but especially one only 2 years old and helmed by someone with no formal background in design.

Pretty Green is up for a pretty major award tonight. Is it important to you to win?

I was coming through here anyway, since my wife is doing a TV show in Canada and I'm touring down in South America with Beady Eye. But I want people to know I care about this Pretty Green, so I am showing up to support it. You like to win, don't you? But it's not going to make or break my day. We've only been going at it two years, we don't really know what we're doing. We're still winging it – but we're getting better.

Who initiated Pretty Green's collaboration with The Who?

I'm not too sure, I've been on the road. A couple of people in the Who camp had the idea to do the parka for the 40th anniversary of Quadrophenia, and Peter Townshend and Roger Daltrey liked Pretty Green, so we were asked if we were up the collaboration. I said, "yeah, man, without a doubt."

How involved are you in the design process?

We have guys named Pat Salter and Felix Blow that handle all the materials, the design process. I trust them completely. I don't have much to do with that end, but I look at everything. If someone doesn't look cool, we'll have a chat about it. But [Pat] uses his imagination, puts it on the table, and I try it on. If I like it, it stays.

You already have 7 stores in the UK, and more on the way. Any plans to expand to the U.S.?

We'd love to; I'm never really here, but I'd like that. But it's definitely biggest in England.

I assume Pretty Green's popularity corresponds pretty directly to where your music – in Oasis and Beady Eye – has been most popular.

Yeah, that's true. The line's suddenly big in Japan, though. Italy. People really love it in England, though. Of course.

Would you say the line's look is overtly British?

It is, the new stuff's really cool and diverse, though. A lot of it's kind of like Indian caftans and stuff; that's all going down on the Black Label. We're experimenting now.

What's the difference between the Green and Black Labels?

Black Label is the higher-end one. If it was just up to me, it would just be the Black Label, all proper rock & roll gear. But some of the kids can't afford that, so we give them options with the casual Green Label. The Black Label is more suedes, more rock star-ish. Green is jerseys and denim.

Would you do sportswear for Pretty Green?

No, I wouldn't. I did that a lot in the Nineties, but it's time to grow up. It's for kids, man. I haven't worn trainers in ten years.

Has the mainstream fashion audience embraced your line?

I'm not that sure; I don't read that press. I'm sure some have loved it, some have hated it, some don't care. As long as the kids like it, and I like it!

Would you ever present it at London Fashion Week?

I don't think so, man. It's not my vibe.

Have you thought about doing a women's collection for Pretty Green?

Yeah, I'd definitely do a look – not sure I'd do a massive range for girls, but I'm working out how to do a Pretty Green look for women. Girls love the line.

When you started the line, what look were you trying to achieve with it?

The Beatles, The Stones, The Kinks, The Small Faces – all that era. 1967 to 1969 bands.

Were other designers – like Paul Smith, for example – an influence on tailoring?

I like Paul Smith, he's pretty cool. I wear his stuff. But I don't look up to anyone. There's always room for more of that rock & roll look to be done right.

Is Pretty Green confident in its own identity as a brand now?

Yeah, man, that's why we're going for it. Changing it up. Weaving, Indian influences. Looking through old Beatles and Stones books for inspiration.

What's a menswear look you disapprove of?

Pointy shoes, skinny pants. That whole look. They look like girls – and then they turn around, and it's a guy with a big nose. Men should look like men, I think.

And who got their look right in your eyes?

George Harrison, Brian Jones, Paul Weller. The Stone Roses looked good when they first came out, and so did the Sex Pistols.

What is Paul Weller's involvement with Pretty Green?

He's been dabbling with the idea of doing his own line for awhile, actually, and I thought it made sense for him to do a collection through Pretty Green, rather than starting from scratch. I think he'll continue to do it; it looks good. I'd also like to bring on other people.

Do you have any other musicians in mind?

Yes – Kasabian, maybe.

You mentioned stopping through the States for a South American tour with Beady Eye. What else is next?

Still on tour, doing the Beady Eye thing, then hopefully, I'll be starting work on a film – a Beatles film. There's a book called The Longest Cocktail Party, written by Richard DeLillo, an Apple Records asssistant in the late Sixties. It's just about his adventures hanging around that scene. I'm producing it as a movie. We're getting in touch with Apple Records to see if we can use some Beatles' songs for the film; if not, we'll do our own special Beady Eye version of them.

How is Beady Eye doing? Feeling good about it?

Good, man. It's all right, man. Good bits, very good bits, and bits where I ask myself, "what the fuck am I doing?" [laughs] We definitely have another record in us. We're writing songs, and we'll go into a studio in February or April. Then try to get in another world tour.

What are your thoughts on the Stone Roses reunion?

Blown away by it, man, can't wait. Favorite band. To the people who say, "oh, they shouldn't get back together," I say "they're not putting a gun to anyone's head, you can buy the tickets if you want them." They can do whatever they want. Go see them in 2012 and don't expect it to be 1989. But that's fine.

Would you want their new record to stick close to their core sound?

Well, I hope they go for that West Coast harmony, like the first album. That's a fucking magical album. I first saw them in 1989; it was the first live show I'd ever been to. Everyone else was into dance music, and I saw them live, and went "this is it." Blown away by it. It inspired me to start Oasis.

Any new bands you like?

I like Cults. All the reverbs, very New York/London vibe. There's a girl singing on it. That's the only new band I can think of I really enjoy. But I'm hard to please, man. I like what I like.

Has what you liked really evolved since you started music?

No. I don't think rock & roll really needs to change. Don't screw with it.

Have you noticed that trends are favoring electronic sounds again?

Yeah, I don't really like it.

Why? You and Noel both have worked with electronic artists.

I know. Noel worked with Chemical Brothers; I worked with Death in Vegas. Richard's cool; they're more garage, than electronic, though, I think. But yeah, there's a place for that. I just always will prefer guitars and drums!

What do you think of the digital age?

People want everything too fast, and now they've got it, so what's next? Something's got to change. I miss the record shops, the physical releases. I miss when being Number One meant something. I used to love to watch the charts, especially at Christmas. Even the crap songs were something you'd remember as a milestone for the year.

Are you feeling the effects of Nineties nostalgia?

Is that a thing? Oh, I guess because of Nevermind and all that. Well, I'm nostalgic everyday. The Stone Roses reunion reminds of that. You need to embrace the now, go in with an open mind. But you never get your youth back. You shouldn't, I guess: you need to move on, grow old, all that. I don't mind getting old – I'm quite interested in age.

Is that something you might discuss lyrically?

No, man, I don't really discuss anything in my lyrics. I don't even think about them. I should, probably!

Noel Gallagher, the more talented half of Oasis' infamous Gallagher duo, has finally released his debut solo album — and it's ok. Since Gallagher announced that he was going to strike out on his own, Oasis fans worldwide have been betting for months that the album just wouldn't have what it takes to follow up Oasis.
While "Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds" still retains that unmistakable Oasis sound, it also represents everything the artist couldn't do as a member of the group. He's no longer inhibited by his brother's insistence that they stick to familiar territory.
The opening song, "Everybody's on the Run," is the album's strongest track. Unfortunately, the album slowly and steadily declines from that point on.
Though listeners should try to distinguish Noel Gallagher from Oasis at this point, it's easier said than done when he's singing "hold on" to almost the exact same chord progression from "Stop Crying Your Heart Out."
Obviously, Noel Gallagher's aim with the album was to deviate from the rusty vocals Liam Gallagher delivered on every Oasis song. He even brought in a choir to give the tracks a more mystical air. However, it's hard not to consider how "Everybody's on the Run" would be near−perfect if Liam were singing instead, as his brother doesn't quite have the vocal power to pull off such a vibrant song.
Though Noel Gallagher referred to "Dream On" as a throwaway filler song in an interview with XFM radio, it also happens to be one of the catchiest songs on the album — imagine if Oasis were sort of cheerful.
That perky sound is also evident in the album's first single, "The Death of You and Me," to which Gallagher's lilting vocals lend a cheeky feel. The song features a veritable orchestra, with a musical saw and a brass band playing in the background.
It's hard not to think of the family drama playing out in the Gallagher household when Noel Gallagher sings, "Forever we'd be free/Free to spend our whole lives running/From people who would be/The death of you and me." Does anyone else think that's a thinly veiled reference to his sibling?The most unique track on "High Flying Birds" is the house music−inspired "AKA … What a Life!" The track revolves around Gallagher's jazz−pop fusion piano riff. This song is lighthearted and fun, and it signifies to listeners that Gallagher seems to enjoy making music without his brother breathing down his neck and constantly swearing at him.
"(I Wanna Live In a Dream In My) Record Machine" is another catchy yet somehow empty song.
Though Noel Gallagher is capable of writing mass−friendly music and elegantly phrased lyrics, he lacks the appeal of a frontman — the glaring, the boisterous energy that Liam Gallagher brought to the table. Somehow, each song showcases this deficiency.
Mediocre solo debut.

I think the point is that in general Beady Eye songs are happier, so with time they get better 'cause one listens to them with pleasure. If you're in a good mood and listen to certain Noel songs, you throw the cd away.

Noel Gallagher esoteric nods to Italian composers

LONDON - If you ask Liam, he’ll tell you: “SHITBAG,” he called Noel on Twitter. “One word. Dido,” went his curt review of Noel’s first single.

Gallagher Sr. was dropping diverse references to Ennio Morricone and Derrick May, talking up a collaboration with Amorphous Androgynous – “some of it’s krautrock, some of it’s soul, some of it’s funk and that’s just the first song” – and underplaying the merits of his first solo album: “It’s not very Guitar Hero,” he said at the press conference unveiling Noel Gallagher’s High Flying birds.
“There’s echoes of Oasis in there,” Noel said of this record. And that’s understandable. It’s the way he’s written songs for the past 20 years. In older songs (I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine, with its daft rhyme scheme, and the terrace-existentialism of Stop The Clocks, it’s more than just an echo; they’re proper post-Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, mid-album Oasis songs. But this record’s preface hinted at something slightly more left field.
Despite esoteric nods to Italian composers and techno progenitors, however, there’s no great experimentation here. If Morricone’s felt anywhere, it’s on album-opener Everybody’s on the Run, with it’s deft strings and the brooding backing of a choir. As for Derrick May, Noel points to his seminal Strings of Life as inspiration for the piano line on AKA … What a Life!, which does have a certain house music quality to it – the looped-up “woo-hoo” outro is more Cadenza than it is Colombia.
“The most poppy thing on the album,” according to Noel, is Dream On: all gloriously nonsensical lyrics, stomping percussion and a flurry of brass reminiscent of Round Are Way – if a little more restrained.
If I Had a Gun… was earmarked as Noel’s first single. The only song more underwhelming than this track is the song that ultimately replaced it as his debut release, The Death of You and Me.
Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks is a Ray Davies-indebted tale that jabs at religious nuts and war – in an endearingly clunky, roundabout way.
AKA… Broken Arrow – featuring Santana’s bongo player, no less – sounds exactly like Wonderwall, albeit with the addition of a saw – a proper saw – played using a violin bow. It may not be original, but it’s catchy. Same goes for the glam-rock riffs of (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach.
This is far from the boundary-pushing, genre-blurring debut that Noel Gallagher’s preamble hinted at. It’s him, a guitar and typically dodgy lyrics, with some interesting stuff going on around them. The tunes are mostly solid, occasionally brilliant.

Halloween parties and City sponsor

MILAN - I already told you about the "Capodanno celtico" (Celtic new year's day) for the last days of October.
Another event for Halloween: 10 euros for how much beer you want (while supplies last, lol), @ our usual Football English pub where Liam Gallagher and many celebrities have been.
But, as I'm a Liam huge fan, I shouldn't drink 'cause he quit drinking ehehe.
I brought a deejay console there and since then they're making parties aha.
I don't know if I'm going but as usual I'll cook a sweet "risotto alla zucca" pumpkin rice at home, as we "milanese" people taught to Beckham.
There's also a party @ our Hollywood club.

Beady Eye in Amsterdam again, Noel failing

AMSTERDAM - 3rd show in Holland, at the Heineken Music Hall. Dream on Noel... 

Meanwhile, Noel "God" Gallagher has sold 55,000 albums... what?! God should sell MILLIONS. 

55,000 is just a big town, or half a big stadium. Maybe the people don't believe in God anymore?
Liam Gallagher has been elected our Pope :) 

The news about the sales was "obscured" by the main news of the day (the Stone Roses reunion), just like Inter Milan news are always obscured by the ones about AC Milan. 

Noel fans are proud 'cause he sold more than Matt Cradle (Cardle)... who?! So of course he reached the first place in UK.

Beady Eye had one called Adele... their album was 1st in Japan and South America, 1st in the WORLD chart for some days, 2nd in the first 6 MONTHS vinyls chart, and went gold.

Liam on Twitter replied to Noel, saying that he never faked anything, to go to bed and to give him a shout in 2015.
I've heard other Liam fans much older than me who have noticed that Noel fans have a little knowledge of music... And they have inferiority complexes... they create pages against Beady Eye, such as "Beady Gay" (! oh very funny, yeah Liam is gay eh), "Bidon Ai" (bin), etc. use photos of Noel saying "Beady Eye suck", etc., continuously insulting Liam with bad words 'cause they're stupid, as usual without even listening to what Noel said about them: he likes Beady Eye, said they're better than him live and that they're the natural continuation of Oasis.

the High Flying BLUES, Balotelli brings the light to the top

MANCHESTER - Mario Balotelli, man of the match, proved Carlos Tevez is not being missed as Manchester City powered their way to the top of the English Premier League table.
The Italian striker, back in contention in the absence of the suspended Argentine international and the injured Sergio Aguero, bagged an overhead kick (!) opener in a 4-1 romp at home to Aston Villa.
Adam Johnson and Vincent Kompany made sure of the win early in the second half, with Stephen Warnock pulling one back (it's ok, I have him in my Pretty Green league team :) when Micah Richards was off the pitch injured.
But James Milner curled in a late effort to ensure an emphatic win — and an even more emphatic message to rivals Manchester United.
Pity that Liam Gallagher dropped Mario he had picked for his Pretty Green league team, so he would be doing well.

Some good City players were even on the bench, because there's a Champions League game in a few days.

Perfect football day: City won, top of the league, AC Milan back to high levels with fabulous Robinho back, Napoli rivals lost at home vs Parma (!), Inter Milan lost ehehe and are in Serie B zone (!)

McLaren 700 GPs, Marco 500 GPs, stay young and invincible

YEONGAM - McLaren celebrates their 700th Formula 1 race this weekend in Korea. Founded at the Beatles times in 1963, they started to race in F1 in 1966. Ferrari in 1929 (but really from 1939) and in F1 from the beginning, 1950, but in a comparison Ferrari-McLaren the percentage for number of GPs / races won, is similar.

Asked by McLaren which was his favourite race, Marco answered:
"My favourite McLaren race is always the last one, 'cause I love McLaren always more and more. It's about 3 decades I'm following you (when Jenson was born :), so for me it's something like the 500th GP :). I'm always meeting my favourite Jenson, his race in Canada this year was the best one I've ever seen. From Italy, in spite of Ferrari :), thank you for the good times".

In the first years of F1 there were a few races and time ago about 16 per year, now they're always more, so I can say that I've seen about half the races in the whole F1 history.

It seems I'm fucking old, lol, no, Noel Gallagher is. Hahah. Liam has always a very young spirit, and I'm much younger than him, so I'm not worried about age :) and I look very young.

It seems that Noel is young only in his Adidas shoes :), because Liam said they shouldn't be used by people from about 30 years old. Well, I do use them :)

In 1997 Noel wrote the great song Stay Young (and invincible, come what may we're unstoppable, my faith's unshakeable), but he didn't like it. Of course Liam loved it, me too.

Tevez @ AC Milan in January

MILANELLO - AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani wants to land Carlos Tevez (photo: in red-black already :) in January and will enlist the help of super agent Mino "the fox" :) Raiola in a bid to push through the deal. 
Influential agent Raiola (it was some time he had no contacts, yesterday he was @ AC headquarters in Via Turati, today @ Milanello training centre) helped broker the deal which took City outcast Robinho to Milan last year (plus Ibra from Barcelona) and Raiola held preliminary discussions with City executives regarding Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the past, although no move materialised. 
Galliani, according to sources in Italy, is aware of Raiola's influence and ability to push through deals, combined with his good relationship with City and he's eager to use this to his advantage.

Tevez is desperate to leave City and allegedly went on strike during their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich last month which led to a two-week (now four) suspension from the club (plus a £1.5 million fine to pay). 
Wantaway striker Tevez has returned to City following his ban but he is training alone, having been told he won't play for the club again. 
And although Mancini has since softened his hardline stance regarding the 27-year-old, it is assumed Tevez won't play for him again. 
Also Juventus and Inter Milan have been interested in him. AC Milan are eager to reinvigorate their squad in January and Tevez is a prime target - although Galliani wants to broker a loan deal with the option of a permanent move next summer.
I didn't like that banner "Tevez out" from some City fans, we should be grateful to him. I think the club has some responsibility... they should be able to manage mad players, as they do @ AC Milan with Cassano, Ibra, Balotelli next year :) etc.
