newspapers are writing that it's the event of the year in Italy, but I think it's the event of the decade, 'cause there have been other important concerts and events, but this is the last Oasis concert, maybe ever and probably for a decade, as Noel said.

Labour newspaper The Guardian is always against Berlusconi's Italian government too...always saying stupid false things... now the same, they're gonna have problems with Oasis as well...

Oasis are taking legal advice from top city law firm Carter Ruck after a story appeared today in a number of online publications, including The Guardian Online falsely claiming that Liam Gallagher "stormed out of" an Oasis gig at the Roundhouse in London last night.
A spokesperson commented, "The story that Liam left the gig is totally untrue. Liam left the stage only for a few minutes during songs sung by his brother Noel as is always the case. The whole show was captured on film by ITV so fans will soon see the truth of this. It is very difficult to understand why supposedly respectable publications would publish such malicious and damaging claims."

as you can see Liam is on stage even during Half the world away, when usually he leaves the stage... and at about 1:30 minute Noel is surprised to see him there. This is also one of the tunes reminding me of my beloved Brit island ♥

Quei sinistri del Guardian (con anche quell'intelligentone di Di Pietro col suo "in Italia c'è una dittatura") dopo aver gettato fango su Berlusconi dicendo una marea di boiate, adesso avranno problemi nientepopodimenochè con gli Oasis... ma quanto godo... Hanno fatto lo stesso: detto falsità... diffamano Berlusconi? Gli Oasis li portano in tribunale, tiè. Tra l'altro come dicevo, la cosa incredibile, come si vede in questo stupendo video, è che Liam era eccezionalmente addirittura rimasto sul palco, cosa che non fa mai quando canta Noel. E lì circa al minuto 1:30 si vede Noel sorpreso di vederlo e poi fa la linguaccia :P

Quelli del Guardian hanno il cervello bruciato. Come dicevo: giornalisti categoria indegna, tra l'altro in estate non sanno proprio cosa scrivere.

Adesso c'è il gossip Canalis-Clooney, d'altronde un'interista che va a fare i video dell'Hollywood a Cuba non poteva che stare con uno dei divi sinistri di Hollywood con villa in Brianza, tra le tante che ha in giro per il mondo.

A proposito di Cuba, Obama ha spento le notizie anti-Castro che aveva messo Bush, che avevano citazioni anche di Martin Luther King...ormai Obama sta perdendo consensi a manetta.

Quelli del Guardian sembrano quegli sveglioni di Rtl 102.5, che non sapevano che Liam lascia il palco quando ci sono le canzoni che canta Noel...

Noel spara a zero sul sistema dei media e su Michael Jackson, affermando di non capire il motivo di tutto il trambusto esploso in seguito alla morte del cantante. "Per me Jackson non rappresenta niente", ha dichiarato Gallagher, che ha poi ironizzato sulla presenza del re del pop in tutte le radio e le classifiche musicali. "Non capisco il gran parlare che si fa della sua morte. Era forse piu' importante dei Beatles?", ha commentato ancora la rockstar. Gallagher, 42 anni, ha poi rivelato al pubblico i suoi gusti musicali, dichiarandosi un patito della musica rock stile anni '60. "E' la musica che ascolto di piu' - ha affermato - ma ascolto parecchio anche la musica dance. Non mi piacciono invece l'hip hop e il reggae".

Facebook non fallirà mai perchè al mondo ci sono troppi sfigati.
Io sono in perenne lotta contro Facebook, si può quindi dire che lotto contro la sfiga.
Stavo riflettendo su una cosa, c'era uno di quei video della mia mail intitolata "Facebook sta bruciando" (video qui sotto) che a un certo punto diceva:
"ci vediamo su Facebook stasera?" e l'altro rispondeva "te ce vedi te e i tre quarti della palazzina tua, brutta sfigata demmerda!"
Ecco, noto che c'è tanta gente ormai completamente rincoglionita da Facebook che veramente, e non sto esagerando, inconsciamente crede di "vedere" le altre persone su Facebook, perchè c'è su di tutto, foto, robe quotidiane, faccio il caffè, ho mal di testa, cazzi vari. Loro in pratica non si accorgono ma "si accontentano" di avere rapporti con altre persone su Facebook. Anche se io lascio aperto Facebook tutto il giorno, questo tipo di rincoglionimento non mi ha preso, perchè inconsciamente invece uno dei motivi per cui non metto ad esempio foto di ogni giorno o foto nei locali, ecc. è proprio per quella cosa del "vedersi su Facebook", e allora il mio è leggermente impersonale, metto su un po' di tutto anzichè tutta una serie di robe su se stessi (il culmine del ridicolo secondo me è farsi le foto da soli). Per il "vedersi su Facebook" alcuni addirittura finiscono per non incontrare alcune persone dal vero, e per questo motivo io ho anche cancellato persone, a volte anche gnocche, perchè sono completamente stordite da Facebook.

Insomma stavo pensando: ma tutte 'ste foto che la gente si fa da sola e che mette su Facebook, a che cazzo servono?

L'ho scritto pubblicamente su Facebook: foto che interessano solo ai segaioli. Che sperano che una se le faccia in mutande o al mare.

Qualcosa dalla scuola mi ricordo di matematica...

Sì perchè tanti poi si mettono a fare quei giochini, test, quiz, quasi tutti li fanno, anch'io ne ho fatto qualcuno, ma alcuni fanno solo quelle cose, manco rispondono ai messaggi che magari uno gli chiede qualcosa, ecc., insomma per loro sono meglio i giochi che avere dei contatti umani. Qualche hacker dovrebbe fare qualcosa di utile per una volta almeno, e cancellare tutte quelle stronzate.

Ci sono alcuni gruppi di una...diciamo sincerità spiazzante, del tipo "uso Facebook per guardare le foto delle mie amiche in costume" ghghghgh che quindi una ragazza quando vede che ci sono 'sti gruppi le viene voglia di togliere un po' di gente dai contatti ghghghgh oppure di togliersi completamente da Facebook.
Un altro che ho trovato si chiama "quelli che pisciano nei portoni" ghghghghgh mi fa venire in mente un concerto degli Oasis mi sembra quello a Milano a febbraio, quando siamo andati in massa in uno scantinato interno perchè ai bagni c'erano file chilometriche e avevamo bevuto l'impossibile per scaldarci (nevicava) e a momenti ci beccavano. Poi sempre a uno degli Oasis una ragazza ha voluto accompagnarmi in bagno (!), forse mi aveva scambiato per una ragazza visto che vanno in coppia, allora quando siamo tornati, per giustificare il fatto che fossimo andati insieme in bagno e non c'era niente di sconcio, ho detto agli altri: lei è venuta per tenermi la porta ghghghghgh

Dovreste vedere su internet che roba ridicolissima, tipica italiana quindi. I siti dedicati agli Oasis stanno facendo una protesta collettiva per la mancanza di sottotitoli in italiano nel dvd, e mandano centinaia, migliaia di mail pre-impostate a questo o quell'altro indirizzo... (in cui si parla addirittura di "discriminazione"... e loro che razza di fans degli Oasis sono se vogliono i sottotitoli?) ...ma non hanno niente da fare? Si accorgono adesso che l'Italia non conta un cazzo? Strano...perchè sono proprio i tempi giusti per accorgersene... (c'era il "governo" Mortadella - n.d.M.) Complimenti per la "cagata pazzesca"...distinguiamoci sempre come italiani...continuando così, succederanno sempre queste cose...
La protesta, con addirittura il BOICOTTAGGIO del dvd, è stata lanciata dal sito Oasislive, quello che ha nel merchandising un Noel camuffato da "Che" (...), bandiere americane in fiamme, e nella traduzione del diario di Noel hanno saltato le frasi "quei comunisti..."

Avevano fatto bene a non mettere i sottotitoli, così gli "tagliani" si svegliano e imparano l'inglese... Forse quelli pensavano di ascoltare Nek o Renato Zero... Se non vi sta bene, andate ad ascoltare Cristina D'Avena.

Oasis movie "LORD DON'T SLOW ME DOWN", 31/10/07

Spettacolare, ore e ore di materiale, molte cose le avevo già viste. Cofanetto con 2 dvd, uno è il film in bianco e nero, l'altro un cd dal nome "Live at City of Manchester Stadium"... pelle d'oca. Si vede benissimo, qualità eccezionale, soprattutto con l'impiantino audio che ho fatto al computer. I migliori 30 quasi 31 euro spesi in musica. Il negozio francese Fnac non aveva il dvd...you fuckin' cunt... La cosa più bella è vedere le facce della gente ai concerti, che si divertono un casino, inglesine che tirano fuori le tettine ghghghgh, solo chi è stato "on the front row", davanti ai loro concerti, può capire.

Stavo notando, oltre a tutte le citazioni storpiate in cui ironizzano sulla classe operaia, c'è anche qualche scritta durante il concerto, a proposito della canzone "L'importanza di essere pigro" (altro che lavorare), sullo schermo: "è una chiamata alle armi per tutti quelli che vorrebbero essere dei fannulloni, per mettere le proprie mani a non fare assolutamente nulla...dimenticatevi l'etica del lavoro...non fare NIENTE ti può rendere più felice e più saggio... Essere pigri è essere liberi di fare quello che si vuole...non puoi sia lavorare che pensare..."

I loro commenti durante il dvd ruotano intorno alle vitamine...che prendono con delle iniezioni, con le siringhe. Noel, come me, ne è schifato, e in mano ha un'arancia e dice: prendetele via bocca no? Dovrei proporgli le mie pastiglie e capsule di vitamine...
Ancora sui sottotitoli: perchè allora non ci sono i sottotitoli in giapponese? In Giappone vanno matti per gli Oasis. A proposito: durante il film, i giapponesi sono un po' presi per il culo... Noel: "Fanno domande assurde, del tipo "se tu fossi una stagione, quale stagione saresti? ... " Allora li prende per il culo, dicendo che sta girando un film, argomento: i giornalisti giapponesi :)).
Mi è piaciuto a un certo punto, sempre Noel: "In Cina non ci andiamo".
Da quei comunisti? Neanche per sogno.

L'immagine più bella del dvd forse è Noel che beve il tè e si alza per andare a buttare "l'assorbente" ghghghgh del tè nel cestino...una stupidata, un gesto quotidiano, ma uno magari si aspetta di vedere grandi bevute e casini come facevano 12 anni fa, adesso invece si alza e va a buttare educatamente il sacchettino del tè inglese, cazzo, vi rendete conto? :)

L'ultima canzone che gli Oasis faranno al loro ultimo concerto, a Milano, sarà I am the walrus, che era stata ispirata ai Beatles da Alice nel paese delle meraviglie di Lewis Carroll, scrittore e fotografo inglese (oltre a Lucy in the sky with diamonds). Per la serie: the end is the beginning is the end.

Nel film c'è Johnny Depp, amico degli Oasis, che aveva suonato la chitarra slade nella canzone Fade in-out. Il palco di quel tour nel '97 aveva un'ambientazione un po' alla Alice nel paese delle meraviglie :)

I was on the front row at Morricone concert. What a concert... ...the wind following the flow of music... unforgettable.
I will put also camera photos when I have them, and videos, of course.

Ero in prima fila, vip :). Il vento che seguiva il fluire della musica. Indimenticabile.
La soprano aveva un gran bel vestito, tutto tempestato di diamanti. Pubblico di vecchietti ma anche tanti ragazzi e qualche modella.

E tante signore ingioiellate, come diceva John Lennon: le signore facciano tintinnare i gioielli :)

A proposito di quello che dicevo un po' di mail fa, diamonds are a girl's best friends. Ma questa non era mica tanto girl ghghgh e aveva due gran...do di petto ghghgh a furia di gonfiare il petto per cantare le si è ingigantito. Vederla da sotto che cantava era impressionante, sembrava tipo strafatta di cocaina ghghgh una faccia stranissima tipo in un'altra dimensione, un po' tipo Paolo Nutini ai concerti.
Mi sono innamorato di una violoncellista giapponese dell'orchestra Sinfonietta di Morricone...
continuava a guardarmi (forse perchè io continuavo a guardarla ghghgh), l'ho distratta sia da Morricone sia dallo strumento (ghghgh come diceva qualcuno: l'organo muahauaha) sia dallo spartito. Porca vacca era una gnocca pazzesca (strano che io me ne sia accorto perchè per me di solito i musi gialli sono tutti uguali, quindi era proprio gnocca :)...fatto sta che l'obiettivo della macchina fotografica mi è andato in tiro ghghghgh), forse era la mia vicina di casa giapponese ma vestita da sera non l'ho riconosciuta.

Il pubblico alla fine era impazzito, tutti sotto al palco a chiedere i bis. Le vecchiette che si strappavano le mutande per Morricone muahauhauhauaha hanno fatto anche il "flashing tits" e hanno fatto vedere le tette shshshshshsh

Avete visto in giro cosa hanno inscenato per protestare al fatto che un po' di gente non è riuscita a prendere i biglietti per Morricone... ovviamente sul sito del sinistro Corriere della Sega ghghgh... ne hanno tirate fuori di ogni colore, se potessero protesterebbero anche contro il cielo perchè è troppo blu... Alcune persone sono nate per protestare sempre e comunque, com'è che io facendo le cose in modo normale ho avuto il massimo col minimo sforzo? Alcuni hanno addirittura comprato i biglietti (che erano gratis) a 50 euro dai bagarini, ma se io ho visto che nessuno li voleva (non capite un cazzo di musica ghghgh) nonostante fossero finiti in 15 minuti? Io che sono senza soldi gliene ho dato uno a un ricco comunista che mi faceva pena, che diceva di aver speso 50 euro dai bagarini per un biglietto gratis (denunciarli no?) e protestava addirittura contro l'Italia intera "e da chi è governata"....... come al solito: colpa di Berlusconi. Eh certo, ci fosse stato uno dei tanti Mortadella sinistri, i biglietti te li facevano pagare 100 euro+tasse, non gratis. Poi mi fa: ma sei arrivato alle 6 per arrivare in prima fila. No, alle 8 di sera.
Hanno detto addirittura che tanti posti erano stati assegnati ai vip, politici, ecc. e non al popolo... ma per favore... tra quella gente il più vip ero io... io sono un signor nessuno e ho fatto la fila da bravo inglese (Part of the queue, Oasis :), c'era una marea di gente ed è normale che siano finiti velocemente, io sono riuscito a prendere i biglietti in scioltezza. SVEGLIA !!!!!!! Scommetto che se fossero riusciti a prenderli normalmente, avrebbero protestato comunque: e questo biglietto è troppo rettangolare, e Morricone è troppo vecchio ghghgh, e questo e quell'altro, che noiosi.

Minacciavano addirittura di far saltare il concerto facendo rumore fuori dall'Arena. Non è volata una mosca.
Gli ho scritto, ma ovviamente il mio messaggio non è stato pubblicato nel forum (questa è la democrazia del Partito Democratico del Corriere)
Sembra proprio che non abbiano mai preso biglietti per un concerto di grande richiamo... (gente che arrivava da lontano e dormiva in hotel) ...tra l'altro non è San Siro e quindi i biglietti erano molti meno. Bisogna attivarsi ed essere tempestivi. Ad esempio i biglietti per gli Oasis (a pagamento, mica gratis come questi) per la Roundhouse di qualche mese fa, sono finiti in 40 SECONDI. Figuriamoci una roba gratis in Italia. E' ovvio che in poche decine di minuti sono finiti, con 5 biglietterie che li distribuivano, ogni biglietteria ne dava tipo 2 ogni 2 secondi, era velocissimo.

Il Traffic Festival di Torino è organizzato meglio?! mwahahaha bella roba, questo è Morricone!!

La capienza è stata raddoppiata e poi ci sono stati altri biglietti, nessuno di quelli s'informa?

Il Rock am See come dice il nome in tedesco, lago, è una roba con l'acqua intorno... una roba che bastano due gocce di pioggia di fine estate che si trasforma in Woodstock con fango che ti arriva fin nelle mutande. Ah, non è fango, sono le verdure che fanno fare tanta cacca shshshshshsh
Qualcuno di voi si ricorda il Monza Rock Festival luglio 1999, meglio conosciuto come "il Diluvio Universale"... mai vista una roba del genere, fiumi di acqua alta tipo 1 metro...concerto interrotto, il giorno dopo bis gratis con altri gruppi per i sopravvissuti, tra cui io con la febbre, con quei sinistri di Mtv che m'intervistavano e io prendevo il microfono alla veejay che invece voleva tenerlo lei, e farfugliavo qualcosa con una voce dall'oltretomba. Di sicuro avranno tagliato la scena (era quello che volevo).

Tra le cose del militare che le donne non mi hanno ancora fregato, c'è il parka uguale a quello di Liam, ma se volete usarlo bisogna togliere le mostrine! Sennò vi arrestano ghghgh

E' un grande giocatore, se il Milan lo prende sostituirebbe Pirlo alla grande. Elano al City si trova male perchè Hughes lo fa giocare poco. Assurdo, visto che prima di Hughes giocava sempre tenendo a galla il City, tra l'altro segnando molti gol su punizione. Centrocampista della nazionale brasiliana, con passaporto italiano, ha segnato anche contro l'Italia quest'anno. Lo volevano recentemente anche l'Inter e la Juventus.

Il giocatore, apprese le indiscrezioni, ha commentato con estrema felicità, pur negando incontri con i dirigenti milanisti: "E' un grandissimo club, e sapere di un interesse da parte dei rossoneri è un orgoglio, anche se ho appreso la notizia solamente dai giornali, non sono mai stato contattato". Dichiarazioni di rito, ma che comunque servono per evidenziare un fatto: il centrocampista brasiliano non si trova a suo agio nei Citizen, malgrado lo sceicco abbia reso la squadra stra-ricca, e farebbe volentieri un'esperienza in Italia. Ieri sera a sorpresa si riusciva a sentire la radio inglese stando in Italia... non so se è stato uno dei miei miracoli col computer, perchè di solito non si può assolutamente, e c'era scritto anche in quel sito, cioè che non si riusciva a sentire dall'estero.

Ho inserito un codice postale inglese (per la precisione il cap da dove mandano i vestiti di Pretty Green ihihi, vicino a Old Windsor fuori Londra) e ho ascoltato quel prezioso live per pochi fortunati (ma, ancora e ancora, meglio non esserci andati, per non tornare con la febbre maiala). Non ho mai sentito Liam così incazzato, urlare una marea di "fucking", "fuckers" in continuazione, e a un certo punto il telecronista è intervenuto (è sempre stato zitto, altro che le radio italiane che dicono una marea di stronzate), dicendo che c'erano dei "coin-throwers", lanciatori di monetine, che avevano probabilmente colpito Liam già dalla prima canzone, Rock'n'roll star. Pericolosissimo, fossi in lui almeno terrei sempre gli occhiali da sole come faceva una volta, potrebbero riparare un po'. Essendo un concerto gratis, a concorso, non erano tutti fan degli Oasis... Ma nonostante fosse nervosissimo, l'unica cosa che poteva calmarlo era la sua dolce metà ^_^ allora ha dedicato Songbird a Nicole Gallagher ^_^

I giornali gosippari inglesi, che gettano fango sul governo in Italia, hanno scritto boiate del tipo che Liam ha lasciato il palco, fatto smentito dal sito ufficiale degli Oasis. Tra l'altro Liam è adddirittura rimasto sul palco, per esempio in Half the world away, cosa quasi mai accaduta, vedi video sotto. Sembrano quegli sveglioni di Rtl 102.5, che non sapevano che Liam lascia il palco quando ci sono le canzoni che canta Noel.

They always insult Oasis, also yesterday, asking the crowd to booo at Oasis (childish... how old are they, 3 or 4?). They're clearly jealous of Oasis success. Asking around, nobody knows these Bloc Party.

Probably Bloc Party know they are shit, so they insult Oasis 'cause it's their only way to be known around.

I found one who knows them, from one of Facebook groups against them: tuneless rubbish, lack of melodic originality or style, embarrassing lyrics, unimaginative riffs and a prime example of current indie rubbish. All of the above describe Bloc Party, the band that always seem to be on TV music/festival highlights and always make one unneccessarily leave ones comfy armchair to shoot oneself/change the channel. Stop these wankers before all musical hope is lost.

Stasera il concerto in Germania è stato bello (130.000 persone lo sapevano e l'hanno visto su internet), soprattutto perchè si vedeva oltre che sentiva (quindi anche stavolta meno male che siamo rimasti a casa). Mai visto così tanta gente star male, portata via... son tedeschi, si devastano con l'alcol e poi non ce la fanno, altro che sturmtruppen, 'stetrippen ghghghgh

In Spagna c'è stato un incendio enorme e vento fortissimo, e non sono riusciti a fare due giorni di festival su quattro, che sfigati............ Anche lì, meno male che non siamo andati. Oltre poi agli Oasis non soddisfatti nè del pubblico (che si arrampicava in giro) nè dei soliti problemi tecnici. Festival interrotto al secondo giorno proprio durante Paul Weller.

Dall'Inghilterra sono tornati con l'influenza maiala.

Insomma tra tutto si sta bene in Italia.

Turning 48 yesterday, I realised the only Creation band that I still get excited about is Oasis. And who wouldn't? The band contains two world-class songwriters, and two great ones, and their new release Dig Out Your Soul is truly tremendous. It's as if they have re-imagined their discography and made their true follow-up to What's the Story Morning Glory, completing the elusive and perfect rock'n'roll trilogy that began with Definitely Maybe.

The music world needs Oasis at this moment, a band with more personality and more amusing quips than any British band for at least 10 years. Throughout their history Oasis have captured the pop zeitgeist (and my personal zeitgeist) as a band that combine the best elements of the Beatles and Sex Pistols to emerge as this generation's Rolling Stones.

"Better than Morning Glory", has become many a critic's meme when reviewing post-Morning Glory Oasis albums, thrown into reviews in a random fashion as a desperate bid to return the band to the halcyon days of old. You know what? Dig Out Your Soul is the best Oasis album since What's the Story Morning Glory. Easy.

The signs were good when I met up with the Gallagher brothers last year in Los Angeles. We discussed music and, curiously, Noel told me how much he liked Glasvegas. I was surprised that he had heard of them at that point. The evening fell into typical Oasis debauchery: hanging out with Brody Dalle and Biffy Clyro and ending up in a dub club in east LA with Oasis participating in a stage invasion. The surreal nature of being Noel Gallagher must be bizarre. Noel, at his best, writes songs about pure escapism, northern ambition and transcending class culture, all in rock'n'roll Technicolor. The question is: "What do you do when you've achieved all your dreams?" You return to your youth and get back to who you were.

Dig Out Your Soul works because Noel has returned to the original inspiration of his youth for his songwriting. Definitely Maybe was about their dreams of rock'n'roll stardom, Morning Glory was about achieving the dream, Be Here Now was the coked-up aftermath, now Dig Out Your Soul is a glance to a psychedelic yesterday, again. For me, the past four post-Morning Glory albums never captured the magic of the first two. Songs from the past five albums had moments of pop reverberations and incredible songwriting, but were never complete statements. With Dig Out Your Soul, the notorious Oasis brothers have found their mojo. It's back, without a doubt.

Musically, it's a return to the grander ambitions and excess of before, with Noel stating: "But I kind of like fancy! I'd like to make an absolutely fucking colossal album. You know? Like literally two orchestras, stuff like that." Dig Out Your Soul is Oasis at their most baroque and Noel's pure pop ambition sits easily with his experimental side. The album oozes with confidence, and great songs.

Maybe it is their the lucky seventh album? The Beatles and the Stones released Revolver and Beggar's Banquet respectively, both were album number seven, and Dig Out Your Soul is on a par of with both in terms of classic songwriting. Or maybe it was his musical peer Paul Weller who inspired Noel to turn his back on Britpop and take a more eclectic direction after Weller's own opus of 22 Dreams? Noel Gallagher has said that Shock of the Lightning was the only song that had "Oasis single status" as the rest is far removed from the sound of Oasis.

I love the decision not to make the album freely available to download, as the Charlatans and Radiohead have. Noel's decision to release the sheet music and lyrics is very Noel; not encouraging free music, but encouraging kids to pick up guitars, learn songs and YouTube them. Or forming a personal army of New York City buskers to perform Dig Out Your Soul - and why not?

These songs are fantastic. From the opening Bag It Up, with the "freaks coming out through the floor", capturing the sound of drug psychosis; the Buffalo Springfield raga glam-stomp of Get Off Your High Horse Lady; the street-fighting vibe of Waiting for the Rapture, the Left Bank psychedelic baroqueness of To Be Where There's Life; the Dear Prudence lift on The Turning - Dig Out Your Soul is the sound of one of Britain's greatest bands at play.

Liam's soulful vocals are utter gems, no longer the one-take hooligan of before, he plays it like a psychedelic Elvis, underpinning the tracks with a commanding presence. Noel's vocal turn on Falling Down is one of the best tracks he has ever sang on. It is subtle, haunting, and full of pure Noel Gallagher magic.

I understand that openly admitting to liking Oasis is inviting confrontation, but you know what? Being an Oasis fan is never having to say I'm sorry. And I'm not. Leave saying sorry to the Coldplay imitators as their era of bedwetter music is over. It's only Glasvegas and Oasis for competition in this country. If you are in a band and are not artistically competing with the creative rock'n'roll genius of Oasis or Glasvegas, it's time to just stop and get off the treadmill. This is how rock'n'roll should be done in the United Kingdom today.

I segnali che mi sono arrivati l'anno scorso dall'incontro con i fratelli Gallagher erano stati molto positivi . Abbiamo discusso di musica e curiosamente Noel mi parlò dei Glasvegas (gruppo ora seguito da Alan McGee) . Mi aveva sorpreso che avesse già sentito parlare di loro .

Dig out your soul funziona perché Noel è tornato all'ispirazione delle origini , della sua giovinezza .. Definitely Maybe gridava il sogno di diventare una rock'n'roll star , Morning Glory la realizzazione del loro sogno , be here now l'album sotto l'effetto pesante di droghe .. , Ora Dig out your soul è uno sguardo a quel periodo psichedelico ..ancora una volta. Per me , gli ultimi 5 album dopo Morning Glory non hanno mai catturato la magia dei primi 2 . le canzoni negli ultimi 5 album sono fantastico Pop e grandi prove di songwriting .. ma non sono complete . Con Dig out your soul i noti fratelli Gallagher hanno ritrovato il loro talento . Sono tornati senza nessun dubbio !

Musicalmente , è un ritorno alle ambizioni e ai grandi eccessi di prima , con Noel che spara : “ Vorrei fare un album colossale , capito ? Con due orchestre o qualcosa del genere ..” Dig out your soul è disco Oasis più barocco che abbiano mai fatto , e con un Noel che trova facilmente il suo lato sperimentale . L'album è composto da grandi canzoni .

Forse è il loro settimo album fortunato ? I Bealtes a i Rolling Stones realizzarono rispettivamente come settimo album Revolver e Beggar's Banquet , e Dig out your soul è alla pari di questi due. O forse stare in stretto contatto con Paul Weller ha ispirato Noel a cambiare un po' direzione dopo il disco di Weller “22 dreams” ?Noel ha affermato che “The shock of the lightning “ è l'unica canzone che rispecchia quasi totalmente gli Oasis come li conosciamo , il resto è ben lontano ..

Amo la decisione di non rendere l'album disponibile gratuitamente per il download , come hanno fatto invece i Charlatans e i Radiohead . Noel ha deciso di offrire liberamente i loro testi e le tabulature ... e questo è NOEL ; non incoraggiare la musica libera , ma incoraggiare i bambini e i ragazzi a prendere in mano la chitarra , suonare le canzoni e pubblicarle su YouTube . Raggruppare un esercito di musicisti e fare suonare le loro canzoni per New York ..perché no?

Queste canzoni sono fantastiche. Dalla canzone di apertura Bag It Up con i "mostri che vengono fuori dal pavimento", che racchiude il sound della psicosi da droga. La camminata pensante-glam e raga alla Buffalo Springfield di Get Off Your High Horse (Lady); l'atmosfera da rissa di strada di Waiting for the Rapture; il barocchismo psichedelico da Left Bank di To Be Where There's Life; la portata alla Dear Prudence su The Turning - Dig Out Your Soul è il sound di una delle più grandi band del mondo all'opera.

La voce più soffusa di Liam è perfetta , non ha più la voce stile hooligans di prima , suona come un Elvis più psichedelico e le sue canzoni sono decisamente più intense . La voce di Noel in Falling Down è una delle sue migliori prove di sempre , è sottile , inquietante e piena di pura magia di Noel .

Capisco che ammettere apertamente di apprezzare gli Oasis invita al litigio, ma sai una cosa? Essere un fan degli Oasis è non dover mai dire "mi dispiace". E io non lo dico. Mi dispiace dirlo ma la musica dei Coldplay e i loro imitatori ormai è finita ..da un bel po' . Ci sono solo gli Oasis e i Glasvegas che si possono mettere in concorrenza ora in questo Paese .

Se siete in una band e non siete in concorrenza con il genio creativo di Oasis e Glasvegas ..beh è il momento giusto per fermarsi e scendere dal tapis roulant .

Quello di cui vi ho parlato ora è Rock'n'roll gente ..come dovrebbe essere fatto in Uk oggi.

2000, Twin Towers down there... before September 11... on the single "Sunday morning call" there was New York with a fallen glass... New York City skyline from the rooftop of the Rockefeller Center. The album's title was taken from the words made famous by Sir Isaac Newton: "If I can see further than anyone else, it is only because I am standing on the shoulders of giants". Noel saw the quote on the side of a £2 coin while in a pub and liked it so much he thought it would be a suitable name for the new album. He then wrote the name on the side of a cigarette packet while drunk. When he awoke in the morning, he realised he had written "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants", not "shoulders"

For going around we were still using a tour bus, and as it was our first time there, we had a big surprise when a bus full of British people overtook us, all of them smiling and waving their hands but suddenly they turned and showed us their arses ahahaha

2009. I was at 3 Oasis gigs in 1 month, even climbing the Italian Alps, highest European mountains, and arriving first in Switzerland, my last Oasis gig, seen it on the front row in front of Noel winking an eye at me ;) (and Glasvegas did the same) playing as in room for me and two Swiss birds lol, the "veline" :))

Italian boys are like me, very passionate.
4 elements mark them: football, music, family and love for elegance. My Italian friends are cool, they wear wonderful clothes and shoes, fabulous scarves, sunglasses even at night and beautiful women by their side. Well, I'm considered quite a holy figure in Italy, It's Milan... Italy's great man, I fucking love going there.
