morning glory, verdure dell'erezione
Stasera è venuta fuori una discussione che periodicamente viene fuori sempre. La questione "morning glory". Secondo alcune ragazze (notare: solo ragazze), "morning glory" sarebbe l'espressione inglese per definire l'erezione che i maschi hanno alla mattina appena svegli. E' un fenomeno che posso confermare ghghghgh, è vero. Ma allora morning glory è anche una verdura thailandese (come lo era il City, e lo è ancora in parte), cucinata piccante (cibo afrodisiaco -> da cui l'erezione ghghghgh). Ma quando gli Oasis diedero il nome al loro album più famoso e più venduto, What's the story morning glory?, avevano in mente l'espressione americana, che significa "tutto bene?", detta a loro da un bambino al telefono, che dubito sapesse cosa fosse un'erezione.

Liam a Milano e dintorni
Qualche foto delle ultime apparizioni di Liam a Milano e dintorni, perchè non è stato solo alle radio e alle televisioni (Deejay, Rtl 102.5, All Music, Mtv). Eccolo al ristorante Il Gatto Nero sul Lago di Como a Cernobbio per il suo compleanno a settembre (come quest'estate a Jesolo il pub inglese Black Cat - in Inghilterra porta fortuna - dove ho trovato una delle due birre del Manchester City, la John Smith's), e alla discoteca Hollywood (strano che non ci fosse Ronaldinho :)

La band di supporto prima dei concerti saranno i Kasabian, loro grandi amici.

Siamo andati a prendere i biglietti, e un terrone immigrato a Milano ha scavallato la fila e ha preso gli ultimi biglietti disponibili... E poi c'è da sorprendersi se la Lega ha il 20% ?
Non solo, ma questo terùn ha compiuto un sacrilegio: fare la fila, rispettare il proprio posto e quello altrui, specialmente nella patria degli Oasis, è sacrosanto, tanto che ne hanno pure dedicato una canzone, Part of the queue (nella colonna sonora del film North Country con "la donna più bella del mondo", Charlize Terùn ghghgh). Tanto che se vai a Londra nel quartiere di Noel, ti può capitare di trovarlo al supermercato che compra il latte, rispettando la fila, e non saltandola perchè lui è Noel Gallagher... Quindi, quel terrone chi cazzo si credeva di essere? Meno male che siamo pieni di risorse e ci siamo comunque procurati i biglietti, sia per quello che per altri concerti, tiè.
E quanto ho goduto passando in Cadorna davanti alla polizia che menava gli studenti... volevano bloccare i treni... perchè a loro dà fastidio la gente che lavora...non hanno neanche capito una mazza della Gelmini, l'esatto contrario...poveri pippatoni bigioni... (erano stati loro, poveri sfigati, a portare sfiga passando proprio in quel momento di fianco al negozio dei biglietti).

Militari? ...come dicevano due donne allupate guardandoci sudati salire sul treno per tornare a casa...mentre io sfuggivo a una teenager che piangeva perchè andavo via... ma che cavolo piangeva che poi tornavo. Era quella che faceva le scene in mezzo alla strada, nel vero mezzo della strada dove passano le macchine (ma tutte le psicopatiche le becco io? Come gli Oasis prima maniera: Liam si beccava le tettone, Noel le psicopatiche...eh beh l'ho sempre detto che non mi piacciono le tettone, ma neanche le psicopatiche :). Perchè parlo di militari? Mò ci arrivo...Ho speso 90 euro per gli Oasis...per loro questo ed altro. Ovviamente ci sono altre versioni, dai 18 euro in su, uscite proprio in questa giornata uggiosa con tempo inglese...manca solo la nebbia milanese-inglese. Ma da quando le sto ascoltando sto uscendo dal torpore. Come sempre, sono tornati per scuoterci... La mia è una MEGA confezione-cofanetto Deluxe (aò, de' lusso :) a tiratura limitatissima, difficile trovarla in giro, che sembra uno di quegli album di foto che usavano una volta le nonne, con dentro di tutto, 1 cd, 4 dischi in vinile (era da almeno 25 anni che non ne mettevo uno, da quando ero bambino) e 1 cd extra, coi remix, e con anche "Boy with the blues", 1 dvd, libretto con immagini psichedeliche, i pianeti (come nelle mie web delle modelle quelle desnude :), tipo Barbara www.barbaramodel.blogspot.com :), i gradi MILITARI (le V del Codice Da Vinci, i simboli maschile e femminile, così come la mela sullo sfondo di Waiting for the rapture, che dice: "...I still don't know what I was waiting for, big love to fall down from the sky? She took my hand and picked me up off the floor, she put an apple in my eye..."), http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKSYArPJdVM molto MILITARE... Tutto molto MILITARE, anche il ritmo, decisamente cambiato, come anche nell'ultimo album Don't believe the truth. Di fianco al pub inglese dove andiamo a vedere le partite, c'è proprio un locale degli Hare-Krishna...quelli di George Harrison.
E a proposito di George, e a proposito del pub inglese, proprio lì vicino c'è la chiesa di San Giorgio, come la croce cristiana di San Giorgio della bandiera inglese, uguale a quella milanese.

What's the story morning glory - the most famous Oasis album - London at dawn, Soho, Berwick Street, known for its independent record shops. On the left it's Sister Ray records shop, then it went into administration...
2000, Twin Towers down there... before September 11... on the single "Sunday morning call" there was New York with a fallen glass... New York City skyline from the rooftop of the Rockefeller Center. The album's title was taken from the words made famous by Sir Isaac Newton: "If I can see further than anyone else, it is only because I am standing on the shoulders of giants". Noel saw the quote on the side of a £2 coin while in a pub and liked it so much he thought it would be a suitable name for the new album. He then wrote the name on the side of a cigarette packet while drunk. When he awoke in the morning, he realised he had written "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants", not "shoulders"
